Excellent quality and made in the USA
All sizes from 6mm-25mm except 21mm for some reason.I wrote this review primarily because of the lack of reviews on this item and the 1-star given by the person who got the wrong sockets. I'm not sure what happened there, but this set "MSBD-19HRC" is made in the US. Williams also sells tools made in Taiwan which have only numerical part numbers. These arrived all 6-point as described, although the packaging leaves something to be desired. The sockets are basically thrown into a box with no packaging whatsoever and then that box is tossed into an Amazon box. I believe the Williams boxes these come in are not meant for delivery through the mail like this. Oh well, they're meant to get dirty anyway,You can tell the other reviewer's set is at least partially the Taiwanese version also because of the sharp step down that the smaller sockets have. The US version have a slim profile all the way down to a nice flare at the drive end (as pictured). These sockets are, of course, beautifully made and are a welcome upgrade to my toolbox. I bought the shallow set as well (MSB-20HRC) and will continue buying Williams tools in the future. I wish I knew about Williams sooner! My opinion is that these are the best sockets you can buy without spending insane Snap-On level dollars. That's not surprising considering they're also made by Snap-On.

1 socket is blank
Very nice quality sockets for the price. I would give it 5 stars but 1 of the sockets has no engraving on it. its just a blank socket so you dont know what size it is.

These are stamped USA and worth every penny.
These are nice and unlike the Williams 1/2” deep metric sockets I purchased that were made in Taiwan (Taiwan is still better than China), these 3/8” (I bought the short and deep separately at the same time) are made and stamped USA. Can’t be happier so far. Even Taiwan is better than China, anything is, but for the money, these USA Williams sockets can’t be better. Thanks Amazon! Value for dollar and quality is excellent. Shipping wasn’t too long either.

I'm on the fence about this set...
Let me start by saying that this is a great USA made socket set and you can almost never go wrong with most tools that are made in the good ole US of A. There are some exceptions, but generally, this stands true. With that being said, I am on the fence about this particular set for a few reasons. The 1st reason being that it does not include a 21mm socket. Why? I have no idea!! What's even weirder is that the set includes a 20mm, a 23mm, and a 25mm socket, but no 21mm, which to me, is just absurd. Why in the world would you give me a 20mm or even worse, a 25mm, and not include a 21mm? It literally makes no sense whatsoever. I mean, just take away the 25mm and give me a 21mm, simple. What makes this problem even worse is the fact that nowhere online can you purchase a 21mm 3/8" drive deep williams USA chrome socket. NOWHERE!! I dug to depths of the interwebs and nobody sells or has a 21mm deep 3/8" drive williams usa chrome socket!! How can that be you ask? I honestly couldn't believe it either, trust me. Secondly, the font on these sockets isn't exactly bad, but it does vary. Some of the font is small and some of it is larger. Also, some of the stampings are nice and deep and others are quite shallow. Overall though, the stamped markings are above average and are pretty good. The next thing I have a problem with is the drive end. There is no off corner loading. There are some relief cuts for the ball detent, but there is no off corner loading on the drive end of these sockets, which I would say, is a pretty common thing these days; even on cheap sockets. A lot of people are saying these are snap on quality without the snap on price tag, but that is just untrue. These are not snap on quality, but are similar to snap on sockets because they are made by the same manufacturer. I'm going to be honest, and what I say next might be controversial, but I think that tektons chrome sockets may be a better choice. I know that you can't necessarily put a Taiwanese socket in the same category as a usa made socket, but the tekton chrome sockets really are superb quality!! The chroming is better than the williams, the drive end has off corner loading, and has better chamfering as well. The stamped markings on the tekton are bigger and much easier to read too. The taper on the smaller tekton sockets are not quite as tapered as the williams, but it is tapered almost identically to the williams, and is tapered quite well, and almost all the way down to the drive end just like the williams. Also, tektons warranty is going to be much much easier to deal with than the williams as well. I will say though, the broaching on the williams sockets take the win in that category because the broaching is quite shallow on the williams allowing for easier bolt or nut starting. I would prefer the usa made product over the imported product, but I'm not sure if the pros outweigh the cons. I'm still deciding... I may try the proto usa or maybe the wright usa sockets, but I don't think I'll be keeping the williams. These aren't bad quality sockets by any means, but when I pay a premium price for usa made tools, I do expect something above average, as I am paying an above average price. I hope this review aids in future purchasing for this item and I will update this review if anything changes.

Tool truck quality minus tool truck price!
Bought this set to compliment my Snap-ON metric sockets, I didn't see the point of purchasing a set of $300 plus SAE sockets from Snap-On. Of course anymore working as a tech wether it be in the industrial world, automotive or Diesel you rarely see SAE fasteners anymore. With that being said there is very little difference between Snap-ON and US made Williams sockets, they are made in the same plant, With Williams they do have blemishes, the finish isn't as refined as Snap-ON. I didn't purchase this set for looks. I purchased them to be used. You definitely get a lot of tool for the money minus the tool truck price.

Good Solid Socket
Socket appears to be well made with no visible defects. Fits snugly onto 3/8" driver. Had a bit of a sticky coating on it that I wiped off with Varsol.

No 21 mm but good set
Look good compared to the snap on sockets I already have haven’t used yet comes on a cheap rail which is ok for the price no 21 mm which bugs the crap out of me cause u get 20-24mm note for anyone buying the sockets make sure u get ones with both letters and numbers in the part number or you will end up with the Chinese ones but so far it’s a gd set I’ll update one I use them

I was worried when I purchased I would receive the recycled tuna can Taiwan sockets but they are indeed the made in USA quality sockets and the chrome finish is the nicest I’ve ever seen absolutely worth every penny.
