Should not be your only guide to Italy
This was just as the title described, "Italy's best trips" but the itineraries were quite lengthy and didn't jibe with our 8 days in the country. If I'd browsed through the pages in a bookstore, I wouldn't have bought it. Also in the age of smart phones, I'm not sure how relevant accommodation recommendations are. We almost didn't take it with us - and didn't refer to it while we were there. We left it with our Airbnb host in Florence.

Bought this after finding the French version excellent for planning road trips. Like the link to adjacent routes. Dont find the Spain/Portugal one quite so good as the France & Italy ones.

Der Guide stellt eine gute Grundlage zur Planung verschiedener Touren durch Italien dar. Allerdings ist er nicht besonders detailliert was die einzelnen Stopps der verschiedenen Touren angeht. Hat man sich für eine Tour entschieden, ist es sicherlich ratsam noch zusätzliche Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten etc. zu besorgen. Der Guide bietet hier nur eine erste, eher oberflächliche Orientierung. Gelungen finde ich die sehr ansprechende Gestaltung und die Hinweise zur Verknüpfung mehrer Touren. Die Touren werden zudem thematisch unterteilt, z. B. für Kultur-, Natur- oder Weinliebhaber, hierfür einen Daumen hoch!
