Earthy root vetiver type note. Calm, relaxing fragrance. Khus is a blend of Ruh Khus and other fragrance compounds. Ruh khus is extracted from North Indian vetiver root. Although it is vetiver, the north Indian variety has a pleasant odor and is used as a perfume by itself. Its fragrance has a cooling effect on the body. It is used primarily in the summer. In north India the khus root is woven into mats and tied on top of cars to keep the cars cool and provide a cool and refreshing fragrance as the car is driven. It is also kept in front of air coolers and air conditioners to provide a cool and relaxing fragrance as air blows through it.

Pungent and unpleasant.
This is a REALLY HORRIBLE fragrance! Pungent, peppery, and strongly unpleasant. I imagined it to smell like Khus-kuhus cologne that I had purchased in Jamaica a few years ago. NOT! There is no floral or sweetness to it. RETURNING!
