Nice grips
I no longer have a 1911 but the grips fit very nicely. Good texture and that iconic look

Wonderful WWII homage grips
Simply the best WWII .45 ACP grips out there. The checkering is nice and deep. The color is the authentic color brown. The bakelite material feels nice and authentic.

Hand fitting required!
These probably can't be beat for the price, but be prepared to do some hand fitting. I had to file away some relief around the slide-release plunger at the top of the left-side panel before it would fit. Took about 20 minutes of filing, sanding, and fiddling around. But they have the perfect "period correct" look on my plain GI Rock Island 1911. I understand that later-issue WW2 1911s had brown plastic grips just like this. Modern grips or overly ornate wooden grips look and feel out of character on this particular gun. The plastic is slightly soft and aggressively textured, so they work really well. And, come on, for the price, they simply can't be beat!

Very impressed
Flawless fit for my Springfield 1911 Mil Spec. No fitting needed. Grippier than the wood composite panels that came with the pistol. I ran the bottoms of these panels over a fresh file to knock down the molding flash. Viet Nam era USGI replacements. Look terrific.

For a Tisas
Slapped these on a Tisas 1911a1 clone chambered in 9mm and I must say they look perfect. My pistol is a clone of the WWII isssue and the grips that came with the gun were airsoft in quality. These are still a polymer material but the correct shade and really give the sidearm an authentic feel. I’m not rich enough to go out and buy an original to batter at the range, a Tisas and a pair of these suffice that historical itch.

Excellent budget grip
Time will tell about durability, but initial impression is very favorable. The checkering is nicely aggressive, a big improvement over the really cheap (as in poorly made) plastic grips that were on my Norinco 1011A1 when I got it. These hard nylon grips have crisp checkering and good points at all the intersections, so it feels very secure in my hand. the color is even pretty nice. It's a fairly convincing suggestion of a dark rosewood, and for such a low price that's a very handsome look to wind up with.

Fit like original grips
I wanted to replace the origial grips on my M1911A1 because the ones mine came with still had the arms room number painted on them. These grips fit just like the originals on my M1911A1. Look and feel like the originals too! Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

Just what I was looking for.
I didn’t like the wood grips on my Rock Island Government FS Model 1911 .45 so I ordered these grips. Shipping was fast, the grips are high quality and they look exactly like the grips from the US Military issue 1911s I carried as a Marine. The only adjustment I made was to use a fingernail file to very lightly file down the edge that fits up under the slide stop plunger on the left hand side grip. This was not a big deal because I expect that not every 1911 made nowadays is going to have the same fit. The finger nail file was perfect to take off just enough of the inside top edge to make it a perfect fit. I could have just forced it on and put the screws back in, but the threads on the grip screw bushing are easy to ruin if you do something stupid like that. I love the look and feel of the new grips. I guess I’m very “Trigger Happy” now.
