ITEQ 5.5 inch Head Up Display Color: Black Our ITEQ 5.5 inch Head Up Display is plug to display and project the vehicle information on the windshield. It can enable the driver to read the number instantly without shifting horizon, which is of vital value in reducing traffic accidents caused by absent-mind due to looking down Important Notice 1. Before Purchase: Open your car engine hood and find the sticker, if it writes OBDⅡCERTIFIED, then this HUD can be installed. Actually, OBD II and EOBD first applied to European and North American manufactured automobiles from 2003. And for Asian manufactured cars, they have even appeared later, since 2007 2. This 5.5 inch HUD does not work with HEV (Hybrid Electrical Vehicles) or BEV (Battery Electrical Vehicles) If your car do not meet OBD II certificate standard or you have a NEV (New Energy Vehicle), we recommand our 4.8 inch HUD or 3.5 inch HUD head up display to you, which have GPS mode and suitable for most vehicles 3. Normally the speed displayed by dashboard is faster than the actual speed by 7%-10%. The Head Up Display adopts and displays the actual speed and that is why the speed by HUD is slower than that on dashboard. Great product
Pros:Display is well litThe projection is absolutely clear and readable during day and night , doesn't cause and blockage in view for the road so an added plus for safe drivingComes with both a reflection film and a glass panel. Have used the reflection film in the attached pictures as it was easier to stick it on the paneRemote is an added plus to change the parameter to view while drivingAn added plus which I liked was the total distance traveled gets displayed whenever you stopCons: Not a showdown thoughSpeed displayed is offset by 1-2 miles /hr (is lower to actual), but being a constant variant one can just account for the delta.Missing compass function - was looking for it as the GPS at times just asks to drive East, North West :)

Heads up y'all!
Great little heads-up display so far, accurate to 1mile, some slight lag now and then, visible during day and night, especially at night, plugs easily into the odb2 port, comes with a very sturdy remote two sticky pads that work great, 2 screen visors one is flimsy, one is firm with two suction cups to stick it on, the flimsy screen goes on easily and comes off easily to readjust, calibrates easily with the remote, makes driving so much more safe and fun everyone who seen it so far has liked it and wants to order one for their car!PROS:1. Bright enough to see day and night.2. Accurate and reads good info from the OBD2 port.3. Very sturdily built remote and sticky pads that work good, the included display screens are not bad at all either.4. Great for the price I saw one twice as small for twice as much at a local auto store.5. Arrived fast and well-packaged with instruction book, OBD2 cord, two sticky pads, two screens, two suction cups and the HUD itself.CONS:1. Remote does not respond sometimes.2. The screens can be tricky to adjust right the firm screen got warped in the Sun but that was my fault because I had it between my silver windshield cover and the window, the flimsy screen goes on well but you must make sure your window is completely clean, again that was my fault because my window was not clean but I was able to fix it by spraying it with Windex then squeegeeing it off with a credit card good as new.3. Instruction book could have better English descriptions but it is still fairly easy to read.I was not paid or prompted to write this review just wanted to speak up for those thinking about getting an HUD system works great is great!

Good quality, works excellent, dead-easy to setup - definitely can recommend
Item was shipped pretty fast and delivered even before estimated delivery time - no problems with that.Good solid build quality and the OBD cable supplied is long enough to route along dashboard to your likings.I've routed it from the HUD all the way at 90degrees towards the windscreen, then to the left to the A-pillar and really pushed the cable inside the dash covers to hide it, then along the door frame and hide it in between the door seals and side panels and then snug the left over cable inside the OBD port space and then connected the OBD plug - absolutely no cable in sight. Even the small piece of cable from windscreen towards the HUD is hidden since I routed it below my black fabric dashboard cover. After plug in the OBD port, startup engine and HUD comes alive right away.Driven it around a few times to see the km/h offset...was really easy to adjust in the settings. Now 100km/h (car speed) is 100-101km/h (HUD), perfect for my use.The manual is pretty clear on what you can see in view mode and what you can adjust and how in setup mode - no problems whatsoever. One thing that I didn't like what the noise it made, so I fixed that by opening up the module and just completely removing the sound-emitter from the circuitry-board...put it back together and voila! No more noise! Absolutely perfect and the HUD still works...offcourse.I've setup the HUD so it shows the digital RPM meter, speedometer in km/h and time...that's all I need.FYI, you can use the remote control to very easily setup the HUD and once done you can use the up/down arrows to switch between different viewing modes for and while driving - very nice!I've then driven it around for a few days to fine-tune the position. I really recommend doing that.Don't fix the polarizing screen to your windscreen yet. Drive around first to make absolutely sure you like the position and that you can still actually view the road ahead of you. I had mine positioned a bit too high for my wife, so I lowered it a few cm and now we can both see the HUD dead-center when driving the car. It's exactly in the line-of-sight, but just a a tad below so it's not obstructing your view.Just take a quick glance down and you can see the display readings.I've driven it around now for a while and I don't even have to look down...it's just there (even my wife is comfortable with it now). One other suggestion I can make...you can drive around with the polarizing screen but just taping it to your windscreen first. This way you can make sure the position is good for you and or maybe your wife, girlfriend, friend, whatever. Then mark the position with a marker, clean your windscreen really well and put the screen-foil at the marked position - done!Screen-brightness is very well and sufficient. Not too bright when driving in the evening or at night and well lit enough during day-time...even in bright sunlight. The automatic brightness dimmer works quite well and reacts very fastSo to summarize, I've been very very pleased with the result and can definitely recommend it.Pros: see all of the above!Cons: the bit of annoying noise it makes, but you can fix that easily by opening the HUD and removing the noise-module from the circuitry board. It's not that big of a con, but just a tad annoying. Some photos and a video added to see my setup and how it works. Please note: the position may look a bit odd and off-center but that's because I was trying to take photos and a video of it with my phone while driving...not really legal, but hey who cares. It's for the idea.

Good unit but could be better
This is a helpful item for tdd he automobile. It displays all of the necessary information regarsing the car. The tired driver alarm is helpful as well as all of the other alarms. The big negative (as I live in the US) is, the information that is in metric, ie. Fuel consumption (l/h as opposed to gallons) and the time is read in military time (24 hour clock) as opposed to 12 hour clock with am/pm. The included remote is helpful. If this unit allowed for everything that is built in to be customized to the users preferences then this unit would be a five star

Great product
This is a great product in general, it makes for a nice addition to my Chevy Silverado. The only problems I’ve encountered is that the glass tends to bend on its own due to the weather which makes the reflection disoriented. Also, there’s not a miles per gallon option for you fuel monitor system, there’s only L/100km. Aside from those flaws it’s a nice product.
