Its a must Have!
AMAZING CARDO! Took me some time to fit it into my helmet but it was Worth It! The sound is SO CRISP and Clear and is really loud! The mic sounds better than my own phones mic! The setup itself was generally easy to apply into the helmet, (Helmet pads were hard to put in) Controls also work very easy and very well and i think this is a very good way to listen to music and phone calls when riding! I get my first new bike today and i am very glad i have cardo with me so me and my bf can do phone calls! highly recommend this.

Amazing job Cardo! Love these!
I've had the Cardo Packtalk Edge for three seasons now and they work long distances, last all day even with music playing, have a quick attach magnetic attachment, that can go instantly from my snowmobile helmet to ski helmet (they sell helmet kits), and most importantly they just work when turned on by reconnecting without having to re-pair, etc. We have three units in our family and it instantly reconnects to all three when powered on, even if we haven't used them for months. The interface is easy to use - for instance has a large rolling volume adjuster that can be operated with gloves on. Can take phone calls and talk to google or siri to ask to pause or turn up music or ask about weather or whats near me, etc. One mile range plus Mesh network for up to 5 miles, sena compatible via Bluetooth. Independent volume settings for talking and music. Talking is voice activated and will lower music down automatically so you can hear what is being said. They are comfortable, dont even know its there. Small footprint on your helmet. The sound is amazing, I upgraded to the 45mm JBL speakers but the original 40mm were fine too. I do recommend topping off the charge mid off season as a preventative to keep battery life good. Like I said mine last all day with music going. One of the best purchases I've made.

Amazing! Worth the money!
I was a little hesitant to get these because some people said they didn’t sound loud enough and that may be the case but with ear plug headphones these are amazing! I wear ear plugs when I ride and was worried about how the speakers would work but with ear plug headphones that solves all the issues. I use plug phones noise isolating headphones and they work really really good. I can hear everything music sounds great the mic is amazing on the cardo and cuts out any wind noise. If you are hesitant to get these don’t be. The cardo is a definite upgrade to your riding. Especially if you ride with others. I ride with my dad every weekend and we are planning long trips and he is excited and loves the cardo. He is hard of hearing and with earplug headphones he has no issues. Haven’t tested out the speakers but don’t think I will because I like riding with earplugs in. We have Harley’s with stage 1s that are pretty loud and the cardo were solid. They didn’t pick up any noise from our bikes just only our voices. Very very satisfied.

Easy install, work great
This is my first comm system owned, and so everything is working great. I have 3 HJC i90 modular helmets so I purchased a ‘2nd helmet’ harness for the third helmet. The ease of switching the unit between helmets is very easy. I was going to get the SENA 50b set that integrates with the i90 helmet, but decided to get the Cardo TP Edge so I could use on a different helmet if needed. Yes, the Cardo sticks out a little since it’s not integrated, but attaches easily and is secure, so no worries until helmet hits the ground for any reason. Cardo installation, charging and pairing to iPhone 15 Pro worked great. Only wish I could have Spotify as a music option within the Cardo app, otherwise ok. Intercom between driver and passenger riders works great with small delays and a few cut-outs once in a while, even on fully charged batteries. Most of the time it’s fine however. Audio for voice, GPS, music, is all very clear and wide dynamic range thru the speakers. I use the boom mic with the modular helmet, so just need to be careful when putting helmet on and taking it off. Highly recommended at this point.

EXPENSIVE! But full featured
I purchased these to replace my Cardo Freecom 2X set after finding out that the Freecom do not allow true audio multitasking. More specifically, they do NOT allow simultaneous music streaming AND intercom conversations AT the same time. (*Read my review on the Cardo Freecom 2X listing) So, after more research and reaching out directly to Cardo support, they assured me that the Packtalk Series were the ONLY units that allowed this. The units arrived last night and I promptly installed them which was pretty straight forward just as the Freecom 2X were. Okay, so now to the main point... The GOOD news: These units DO allow simultaneous intercom AND music streaming! The BAD news: It is extremely convoluted to set this up and make it actually work! :( These units use a combination of DMC intercom AND Bluetooth music/intercom. The process / steps to set all of this up are POORLY documented and even Cardo's videos contradict themselves. Someone from Cardo really needs to revisit this! Seriously! READ THAT AGAIN CARDO! After almost 2 hours of trying...resetting...pairing...clearing...resetting again...disconnecting...pairing...you name it... I FINALLY got lucky and was able to get the units to work. I won't go into all that you have to do as it wouldn't do you much good since they ALL seem to be different etc. What I can tell you is that you have to use a combination of the DMC channels as well as the Bluetooth and then switch BACK to the DMC AFTER getting the Bluetooth paired and working...which in itself is a nightmare. Bluetooth is quirky at best on these units and you will hear "Rider A busy / unavailable" repeatedly. Factory resetting both units will sometimes fix this...but then you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN. What a mess! So, once I finally WAS able to pair the DMC intercom and then pair the Bluetooth etc. I was able to stream music from my phone and then have a DMC intercom conversation. Here is another "complaint". In the audio settings, there are a few options to adjust the sound levels of each type of audio. (music, intercom, phone, gps etc.) I made changes in the app to each of them and saved the changes, but they have NO effect. I tested this by also zeroing out the music just to test, but the music volume was unaffected. I also zeroed out the intercom to test etc. and still the same...no change in audio level. So, you basically are STUCK with the music at the same volume as the intercom. Not ideal, but better than nothing I suppose? But still, for $700+ dollars, this should work. So what's the final verdict here? -Well, for the price, they are loaded with features, but most of those features do not work. -Documentation is all over the place and no two are the same -Video instructions contradict one another from video to video -No real helpful support from Cardo -Audio quality is great! -The "Hey Cardo" voice activation feature works sporadically -The volume wheel works great even with gloves -Once you turn these units off, you have to go through the ENTIRE setup process again! ...and hope that you get lucky enough for them to work! RIDICULOUS! ** I am going to test these over the next few days, but honestly for this price, I will most likely return them if I can't get all of the features to work. Way too expensive to have to go through this much frustration.

Cardo never disappoints
As a brand, Cardo has never disappointed. It fits well and is low profile on the helmet. It’s definitely a quality and solid build - I’ve seen these get beat on and they still keep ticking. If you’re familiar with Cardo, they’re easy to use but there might be a learning curve when it comes to setup and linking to other units for your first time. It’s designed well, and sounds fantastic. Anytime I took a call on the bike, the caller had no idea I was even on the bike, so it did a fantastic job of removing outside noise.

Take the time to set it up, and you won't be disappointed
It takes a little bit of time to get all of the audio settings tweaked to your particular helmet, bike --- You. Once you have that set up this system works better than I expected. It took me three or four days to get the audio levels set to what works for me so Navigation plays louder than the music, and to mute the music completely if on the phone. Yes, you can have your music play at different levels behind the phone conversation if you so desire. Adjusting these settings before you take off will make your initial satisfaction higher. I've used it for about a week now, and today have not made any adjustments.... I did make adjustments every time I used it to get to today where I think it is tailored to my needs perfectly. I had an issue that caused a lot of frustration the first two days I used it. It would be working when I started the bike, I would ride a half a block and all audio would drop. It showed it was still connected, Spotify was still playing the music in the background, but my phone had no audio coming out of it and no sound in my helmet. OK, I'm riding away from house, or work, maybe it is a separation drop when I get away from the wifi. I stopped about a mile from my house, shut Cardo off and turned everything back on. It worked for about 20 seconds and I lost all audio again exactly like I described before. With lots of digging (trial and error), it finally occurred to me what the issue was when a phone call came in while I was enroute, and the stereo on the bike showed the caller's name. Yep, the Bluetooth on on the bike stereo was taking control and stealing the audio from the Cardo Edge. I could not turn the audio level up on the bike and hear it, but the Harley stereo and the Cardo were battling for control and neither of them was winning. Audio just went into the abyss. I unpaired the bike and the issue is resolved. Yesterday I had to go out of town for work, and I talked to my wife while on the highway, doing 80 MPH, driving in heavy traffic. I passed a semi and my wife never heard anything but me talking. My bike has moderately loud exhaust, and my wife could not hear anything around me. My senior mom and I have talked on it, and with pretty poor hearing, she hears me very clearly, she also does not hear the noise of the traffic nor the exhaust on the bike. The Cardo is not the cheapest on the market, but in my opinion it is worth every penny. This product works great. I wish they made a Bluetooth system for my 2000 diesel truck that would block the noise like this system does on the bike.

An absolutely must-have for riders!
As others have said, and reviews show, you should get the packtalk edge/neo/pro. I have been using my edge for about a month now, I have gone on motorcycle rides and escooter rides around town. In both situations, the edge performs incredibly well. Voice commands work great in both sets ups. On my scooter I wear a downhill MTB helmet, which allows lots of airflow through the helmet. Even with loud wind noise inside the helmet, the audio still sounds great and no one can tell that I'm out on a ride, they say it sounds like in sitting at home. My motorcycle however, is very loud. Straight-piped 1700cc loud. Even going WOT while talking on the phone, no one can tell. I do wear a full face helmet, so that likely will play a factor when compared to using a half helmet kit, but for what I need, it works great! As far as the DMC goes, unfortunately I don't have anyone that I ride with that uses cardo. I do have a set of Cardo Outdoor and have connected to them to test and everything works fine. Connection is simple and audio is crisp. Range test has not happened yet, but hopefully soon. I have connected to other units via Bluetooth and it works fine, but audio quality seems no better than my uclear from 8 years ago. Not to say that's bad, but the speakers being better quality I expected more. My absolute favorite feature though is easily the voice commands. Mostly I just control the music and volume, jumping between radio and Spotify. Both commands work 95% of the time, the remaining 5% works after a repeat of the command, but never 2 repeats are needed. Volume control without physically touching the cardo is an amazing feature. I've never had a sena unit so I can't compare the quality, however I went with cardo due to living in the PNW (it rains a lot), since the packtalk series are waterproof. I've rode in the rain twice so far. Once was a light rain, the second time was a dense downpour. Both times I didn't have any issues with the cardo and no aftermath.

Cardo quality
Cardo did not disappoint, installation was straight forward, the air mount makes life so much easier when needing to charge it. Sound quality is very good. Microphone has a bit of issues picking my voice when riding faster due to wind but raising voice a little helps.
