Good book. Easy to read and understand. Latest information and data. Useful for anyone working in global warming and its mitigation

This book is a quick read, because it is carefully written, and well thought out. It covers a lot of ground, and is still largely up-to-date, although rapid changes in the energy transition make that hard to do. For example, the decline of coal and rise of natural gas has already substantially change the energy mix described in an early chapter based on 2016 data! Nevertheless, the balanced review of a wide range of options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the clear-eyed distinction made between renewable energy policy and climate change mitigation policy is extremely valuable. I heartily recommend this book, and hope it will be updated as the energy transition moves forward.

Absolutely perfect: the author deeply knows the topic and, most crucial for an amateur like me, has a clear and easy to understand way of explaining it.Many popular science books are poorly edited in that the author keeps repeating points over and over again - not so here!It's like going for a walk through the topic with an expert guide: no lingering, no getting lost yet at no point are you rushed or unable to keep up - step-by-step you are being guided through the field.

Good compendium of the status of the art of carbon capture techonology

Mr Herzog book is the best summary of Carbon Capture Use & Storage I have read. It is a must for anyone who wants to know the real story and not just reaction without reason.
