Good quality product as expected, works very well

We got this in the UK, but it shipped from the US, it doesn't seem to be distributed by OXO directly here. Why? Strange because this is the best grater we have ever tried, and we have gone through a lot of similar products over the years. This one is typical OXO excellence. The mechanical design is perfectly balanced, so the structure will resist to the pressure where is needed, there are no haphazard spots that could break over time because of mechanical stress. Both the cheese press and the crank are very sturdy, there is no way they are going to break even after prolonged use. They have silicone grips so the handling is secure and efficient. The silicone seal around the press and the drum lid are a brilliant idea, so you can leave it in the fridge with some cheese inside with no risk of going rancid. This reduce the need for putting the pieces in the dishwasher, preventing unnecessary wear and tear. The grating performance is better than average, the cheese comes out finer than all the other similar graters we have had. For the best results, we found that applying a more gentle pressure is better, even if takes a little longer, because the cheese flakes will be much smaller, resulting in more flavour in the recipe. If you are shopping for parmesan grater we strongly recommend this one, it's absolutely worth the wait and the cost.

Absolutely brilliant design - always ready to use with no need to wash a cheese grater every time. Just take it out of the fridge, rotate to grate as much as you want, and then put it back in the fridge.

It's excellent for grating lumps of parmesan - however it is, as described, a grater not a grinder. You get thin strands of cheese, not a lovely powdery rubble. Easily dismantled and washed. No good on cheeses which aren't as hard - cheddar just gunges it up.

Really happy with this oxo grater……. Easy to use for everybody. …..young and old. I wish I had bought one sooner.

I thought this would be great it is for grating cheese tried grating a carrot in it was impossible so am very disappointed expected more from oxo

I have always had a grater similar to this since I was a child when my parents had a Moulinaux grater. I also have several items made by Oxo and have generally been impressed with them. Unfortunately, this grater falls short when grating as the cheese gets stuck in the barrel and only releases when you poke a fork in to drag it out. You may be okay if using a hard dry cheese like parmesan, but a normal everyday cheddar or red Leicester does not work with this grater.

Had one before which lasted years. Easy to use. Only disappointment was this one only comes with one size grating cylinder

This OXO cheese grater has truly earned its spot in our kitchen. We bought one more than eight years ago, and it’s still going strong—which is more than I can say for a lot of kitchen gadgets. It handles both hard and soft cheeses smoothly, and the clever little cap at the end gives you options: use it to pre-grate and store, or remove it to grate directly onto your dish. Super functional! You do need to cut your cheese to fit, but it’s a small price to pay for how well this works. It’s incredibly easy to clean—every part comes apart and pops into the top rack of the dishwasher without fuss. We loved it so much, we got one for my parents too, after several of their old graters gave out. This one just…doesn’t. Durable, reliable, and thoughtfully designed—OXO nailed it.

Ausgepackt, alles ist billiges Plastik, außer der Reibwalze selbst. Die gummierten Griffe werden in kürzester Zeit „eklig“ klebrig sein - eine einfache Riffelung hätte die griffigkeit auch gewährleistet. Die Kurbel und die realize sind über ein einfaches Plastikgewinde verbunden (wieso nicht Metall?) Letzter Punkt: die Reibe ist nicht „umkehrbar“, also für Linkshänder ungeeignet. Verstehe die hohen Bewertungen absolut nicht. In Relation zum Preis ist die aualität absolut nicht in Ordnung.
