Actually works—covered almost my entire half-acre!
I recently used the Ortho WeedClear Ready-To-Spray on my lawn and was honestly impressed. Here are the highlights from my experience: Effectiveness: It did exactly what it claimed to do. It targeted the weeds without harming my grass, and I saw them starting to wither pretty quickly. Coverage: My lot is about a half-acre, and one bottle managed to cover almost the entire lawn. For a "Ready-To-Spray" product, that’s great efficiency. Ease of Use: The hook-up to the hose was seamless with no leaks, which made the application go much faster than using a manual pump sprayer. Bottom Line: If you have a larger lot and want something that is effective and easy to apply, this is a solid choice. I'll definitely be keeping this in my lawn care rotation.

Finally — a weed killer that protects St. Augustine instead of destroying it
I’ve had St. Augustine grass for years, and if you own it, you know the fear: almost every weed killer on the shelf says “safe for southern lawns”… followed by a warning that excludes St. Augustine. I spent several seasons watching weeds take over because I refused to risk a product that might scorch‑earth the turf. This spring I found Ortho WeedClear, and it’s the first product I’ve seen that clearly states safe for St. Augustine. I didn’t take that claim lightly. I dug into the details, including the Floratam issue. (For anyone reading: Floratam is a Florida‑specific cultivar that is sensitive to certain herbicides. I confirmed through a bit of lawn forensics that my grass is a cold‑tolerant Georgia type — not Floratam — so WeedClear is appropriate for my yard.) Once I verified that, I tried it. WeedClear worked exactly as advertised. The weeds collapsed, browned out, and laid down, and the St. Augustine didn’t show any burn or stress. If anything, the product is on the gentle side — which is exactly what you want with this grass. The layer of weed thatch left behind showed just how badly the turf had been smothered. It wasn’t weak; it was buried. Now that the weeds are gone, the lawn finally has room to breathe again. I’m already seeing runners waking up and color returning. For the first time in years, the yard looks like it has a real path to recovery instead of slow decline. If you’ve been afraid to treat your St. Augustine because everything else feels like a gamble, Ortho WeedClear is the first product I’ve used that delivers on the promise without putting the turf at risk. I wish this had existed years ago. WeedClear didn’t just kill weeds — it gave my lawn a second chance.

Two Complaints = One Directions Issue - Otherwise Good Product
I see two types of complaints on this product - #1: Takes multiple treatments to work #2: Weeds come back in weeks. The answer can be found on the product label. It claims to treat 8,000 square feet for "Northern Lawns" and 16,000 square feet for "Southern Lawns". Well, that makes absolutely ZERO sense to me. I doubt the product will ever treat more than 8,000 square feet. How would a spray-bottle fed system last twice as long when there is no alternative direction for "Southern Lawn" application? It simply says spray until grass is wet. There is no separate instruction for "Southern Lawns", so how could the same 32 oz last twice as long? Obviously, that is logically impossible. I believe people who live in the south and attempt to make the 32oz bottle last for 16,000 square feet are under-treating their lawns and thus must re-apply this product again in a few weeks if they do not want weeds to re-appear. Try using it on a 90 x 90 foot piece of yard with one treatment of the entire bottle and see how it does. i suspect no re-application would be necessary.

If I could give this 0 stars I would; A Costly Mistake in Every Sense
When seeking a remedy for my lawn's modest weed issue, I turned to Ortho WeedClear Weed Killer for Lawns. The product's promise of effectively eliminating weeds while preserving the integrity of the lawn seemed like the ideal solution. However, the aftermath of using this product was anything but ideal. My lawn, which was previously flourishing and vibrant, suffered immensely post-application. Not only did the stubborn weeds continue to thrive, but the majority of my lawn took a tragic hit. Now, in addition to my initial disappointment, I've been saddled with a considerable expense to rejuvenate and restore my lawn to its former glory. Making matters even more suspicious, I've noted that this product is conspicuously absent from Amazon's delivery options. Such a sudden disappearance certainly raises red flags about its performance and possibly its safety. I urge potential buyers to consider not only the monetary cost of this product but also the potential hefty price of repairing the damage it will inflict. The financial burden and emotional toll of witnessing the destruction of my lawn were simply not worth the gamble on this product, I am devasted! I'll be seeking a refund and hope Ortho takes these serious concerns to heart, for the sake of all garden lovers out there.

Not very effective, but hasn’t damaged my grass
I sprayed this on a 2-3k sf sized lawn (not very large) and it’s taken two weeks to see results. The clover leaf weeds that I’m trying to get rid of are just now dying off. I was initially afraid a concentration of product on such a small sized lawn would damage it, but that definitely wasn’t the case. It does work, but it’s taken significantly longer than expected, and the hartier clover still hasn’t been affected. And it has not in anyway damaged my grass (tall fescue).
