It Works If You Make Your Own Bait
The bait that is included does not work at all. But I mixed some cantaloupe with some water to the consistency of a thin smoothie. Using that as bait it worked perfectly.

Set up up at night, follow directions carefully. Some times of year they are more attracted to the scent than others. We add a spoon of smelly can cat food and it gets them pretty good. Wash hands very well after handling so you don't risk attracting them to you. Place in a save area away from animals and livestock. Good luck

Didn't work at all in my area of the country, see below for what did work for me
I had/have wasp, hornets or yellow jackets going into my attic. So I tried traps outside where they are getting in, here are the four I tried... hopefully this will help you decide which is best for your situation. I live in the Northwest though (Western WA), you may have different results depending on where you live. Some traps were great, some where an absolute waste of money:***Rescue Reusable WHY trap:http://www.amazon.com/Rescue-W%C2%B7H%C2%B7Y-Hornets-Yellow-jackets/dp/B001H1GRPI/ref=sr_1_7?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407612209&sr=1-7'WHY' buy this? Don't, I paid $18 to kill two wasps or yellow jackets. It has a top and bottom trap, they weren't interested in the top trap at all. I saw up to five almost immediately inside the bottom trap, but then I watched them walk right out of the trap. Utterly useless.***Rescue Yellow Jacket Disposable trap (West of the Rockies version) :http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004TBKL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Works great, after 2 days I have almost 20 caught and killed. You have to supply your own string or wire though, and they were more money at the time of this writing than another solution below. I'd recommend this though depending on the price.***Tanglefoot 300000437 Wasp Bag Trap:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002M2VZZI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1My top choice, it is reusable if you want, just buy more attractant. And at the time I orderd it was about half the cost of the Rescue one above. After 2 days it caught nearly 20 as well. Has it's own wire for hanging, made of hefty plastic that can be reused several times if you want with a 'zip lock' top. I like this one a lot, and it was the cheapest but is made the best.***Victor Poison-Free M370 Yellow Jacket Magnet Disposable Bag Trap:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RNH2NI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Stay away from this, after 2 days it has caught a grand total of 0

Best trap of all
These worked better than any other trap I have tried - store bought or home made. I wish they sold the lure/bait for refills because the traps seem to last longer than the lure.

Much cheaper ways of doing the same thing
Did it catch bees - yes a few. Does an inverted water bottle with sugar water catch bees - yes a lot! Can you reuse either, only the water bottle (if you want). Bottom line, an inverted water or soda bottle with sugar water worked better for me, and cost me 5 cents for the deposit.

Great Product
This handy bag allows the annoying yellow jackets to go away from the picnic and also is comforting because of allergies to stings from yellow jackets.

My camp is loaded with bald faced wasps. I hung this up in a tree mixed hot water with the attractant according to the instructions. Three weeks later I trapped a few moths, an ant or two and three house flies.
