The Rocker (Born to Rock Edition) [Blu-ray]

If you like music, epic band stories, some drama, a lot of comedy, and a full cast of great actors, watch this movie! Every time I’ve watched and shared the watch with others, the disappointment when it’s over is bittersweet; you want more! Truly an enjoyable, heartwarming story of success, failure, and the power of positive thinking suitable for pre-teen to adult viewers.

This is a simple, feel good film, but it makes me smile every time I watch it. It’s just corny enough and sassy enough and with good enough music, that it does not seem to get old.

Loaded with extras, this as a great find from the seller Thriftbooks. I like the extras featured on the first disc. This movie surprised me as it really is a fun story with a good heart and a positive message as the characters grow and develop over a summer filled with great music. If you're a fan of music from the `80s and 2000s, then this is an interesting cultural clash with some great acting from an amazing cast.

I actually had seen this movie before, but wanted to own it. Very fun. Good for all audiences. It came fast and well packaged.

Highly entertaining and fun. Rainn Wilson is fantastic as usual and the writing is witty, playful and many laugh-out-loud moments makes this a must-see. Although I am a big fan of 'The Office' I passed up this movie for the last few years thinking that I wouldn't enjoy it; not sure why - maybe it was the artwork or what that turned me off. Caught this by accident when channel surfing on Comedy Central and the next day ordered this Blu-ray from Amazon. Greatly enjoyed it! If I had to be critical about anything, it's this... the movie takes place in Cleveland and I live in Cleveland and I take issue with a few things; First, we do not call 'The Q' the 'Q Arena' (if you are a Cleveland vet you occasionally out of habit still call it the Gund Arena), Next, if you are on a tour bus and downtown can be seen out the driver's side windows (looking from the front of the bus to the back) you are obviously going west on Route 2 toward Edgewater Park and the bus driver pipes up and says, "Rock Hall coming up on the left," then he is a liar, you would have already passed the Rock Hall and would have been on the right, if that isn't enough to question your bus driver then taking a left at the Rock Hall will because would have just drove the bus directly into Lake Erie, finally if you look out your bedroom window and see the Rock Hall, check to see if your two-story home has been built into the north side of a skyscraper. Other than that, great movie!

I know this movie didn’t rate very well, but I loved it. Catchy tunes, a cameo by Pete Best, and Rainn Wilson’s naked butt. What more could you ask for?

Being a movie buff I had never heard of this movie until a friend of mine recommended it to me. I watched it with no expectations and throughly enjoyed it. I hope to watch it again with my son and his family when we visit.

This was a very good movie. It was funny and very entertaining! Rainn Wilson was great!

沢山の高評価、興奮レビューを見ても半信半疑だったが、意を決して遂に視聴。 本当に最高すぎたwwwww いわゆる大草原。 唯一、難を挙げるとすれば、冒頭のカーチェイス､､､ではなく追跡劇？ ドタバタコメディ前提ではあるものの、現実的に有り得ない表現に、この先もこの調子なのかと不安が過った。 しかし、『そこはいくらなんでも超人すぎるだろう！』くらい突っ込む余裕があれば100%楽しめると思う。 以降はずっと笑いが止まらず、大満足。音楽も良いし、演技も話も楽しめると思う。 当方の評価は体感的に97点くらい。個人的にツボに入った。 なお、旧作の方はアマプラで視聴可能。気に入った人は、シリーズ作のどちらもみるべし。

I'm a big fan of Rainn Wilson,loved him in James Gunn's SUPER,here he plays Robert 'Fish' fishman a drummer who missed out on the big time due to being stabbed in the back by his fellow band mates,including the hilarious Will Arnett,after they ditch him to sell out and sell their souls for a record contract meaning they open for Whitesnake on tour,fast forward 20 years and he becomes the unlikley mentor and backbone to a young up and coming band called A.D.D.(Attention deficit disorder) ,with the help of his 'The Naked Drummer' nick name those kids hit the big time,Emma Stone(heavy sigh she's lovely) plays Amelia the post modern cyber punk girl,also look out for Jane Lynch as Robert's Sister and Jason(Horrible Bosses) Sudeikis as the A.D.D.'s manager. Its a feel good Funny movie great alternative to Glee.

ATTENTION: Le Blu Ray est en zone A uniquement, bien qu'il soit proposé avec la langue Française, impossible a lire dans ma platine blu ray. Trés déçu parce que ce n'est pas indiqué dans la description. Ne vous faites pas avoir.
