OXO Good Grips 2-in-1 Salt & Pepper Grinder & Shaker

They could not have made this any better! It is just perfect in every way and it looks really nice so I can leave it on the countertop and not have to hide it in a cabinet. It even comes with a full supply of sea salt and peppercorns, I also appreciate that the stickers that they have on it were easy peel stickers that left no residue on the product.

We've have an ancient salt/pepper shaker for years that had both spices in a single container. It got so worn out that when it came time to replace it, we wanted to find something similar... and this was it! It stores a decent amount of both salt and pepper, and has different grinding levels for the pepper depending on your needs. It's stylish enough that we leave it out, and functional enough that we don't think about it. It's an OXO product so I anticipate having it around for years.

I compared 3 grinders on Amazon to see what was the best fit for me and this was my conclusion: Best: Eparé 2 in 1 Salt & Pepper Grinder: B07YXBMS2J Not Bad: OXO 2 in 1 Salt & Pepper Grinder & Shaker: B01N3CMA64 Don’t Buy: SpiceCrafts Salt and Pepper Grinder Set: B00PID7KAM I was comparing all by their cost, material quality, ease of adjusting, range of grind, & packaging. Eparé- This is a true dual grinder, it had some nice packaging and also really useful illustrations for the instructions. The clear part and steel looked nice, no scratches or anything. Filling this was super easy, the sides each unscrew and open a large filling jar. The caps also snap on to the mill sides in a pretty secure way. As far as the grind levels go I think there is a pretty good range, it's easy enough to adjust, although the OXO design is the easiest of the 3. OXO- The packaging was a bit disappointing, it did not have any, was just in a clear bubble mailer. It had a small hangtag with basic instructions and also multiple safety seals because it came prefilled with spice. My personal preference is to get my own spice, but I trust OXO on their spices. This is not a true dual grinder as the salt is just a shaker, but the pepper is very easy to adjust. I would say their range was very similar to the Eparé grinders. Spicecrafts- The packaging was okay, a simple box, there were no instructions just a cheesy insert talking about their warranty. This is another true dual grinder, but I would say the Eparé one is of much higher quality. The container and steel ends were pretty scratched up, can tell that their quality control is nowhere near that of OXO or Eparé. With filling it, the function is the same as the Eparé one, but the screw on track did not line up as well with the grinder components, also I could clearly see the quality difference in the clear container when holding it next to the Eparé one, much thinner walls and not as clear. When adjusting the grind it was super difficult, both ends jammed in a more open position and then it was super difficult to make them finer. There was a decent range in the grind, but I would not be able to adjust frequently due to the difficulty.

Works great. Love the options for the pepper grinder. Appears to be make durable.

I had a separate salt shaker and pepper grinder that I used regularly. I switched to using this 2-in-1 grinder/shaker. First, I love that it has the salt (shaker) on top and pepper (grinder) on bottom. It makes it convenient to grab when you want to add S&P to your meal. Second, I like that you can adjust the size of your pepper flakes. Just use the dots on the side as a guide. I usually keep mine in the middle. But if you're peppering something on the grill and want bigger, crunchy pepper flakes, it's super easy to adjust. Same with adjusting for much smaller, dust-like pepper to add to recipes. Finally, despite being wider than my previous shakes, this doesn't take up any more space. In fact, it might even take up a little less space in my spice drawer. I highly recommend!

I find it handy to have a pepper grinder/salt shaker combo for casual meals and have tired several over the years. Like their entire line of kitchen products, OXO’s combo is well-thought-out, well-crafted, and elegant in its simplicity. The grinder is both easy to use and easy to adjust the grind. Too, loading pepper corns and salt is simple and intuitive. My pleasure in using it is only equaled by my delight in discarding my less-than-perfect previous ones.

Just like my other OXO purchases this one fits my needs. I like that the salt shaker and pepper mill are one item. I also like that it is clear so I can tell how much is in it. Finally, I like that I can choose the size of the pepper grind size. I recommend this product.

Love this! Perfect salt and fresh pepper combo! Saves space, no need for 2 shakers and pepper mill has multiple grind settings that are easy to choose for everyone’s preference. Good quality, looks nice and great price for this tool

Love this salt pepper grinder, just what I was looking for, I love freshly ground pepper and I like it course but I dislike rock salt, I much prefer shakable table salt. so when I saw this I just had to buy it, so pleased with it. You turn the top salt section to grind the pepper, easy 5 level adjuster for the pepper coarseness, as I say I like course pepper and often buy a jar of course pepper but I wouldn’t use 5 on my dinner. I like setting 2/3 in my sandwich’s and in dinner but it is great that it has a easy adjuster. Only thing you should bear in mind is that if you fill the salt up too high, when grinding the pepper the salt does fly out a bit, not ideal but perhaps I shouldn’t have emptied the whole packet in that they supply, I’m sure it wouldn’t happen if less salt is out in next time! So far it also seems to not leave pepper all coming out the bottom, my old pepper grinder always made the table messy with bits of ground pepper always falling out, this isn’t doing that which is a bonus, would highly recommend

Salt doesn’t pour as the holes are too small so I ended up having to use using another bottle. I would not recommend getting this despite the reviews
