You could spend more
I’ve had this for a while, I bought it after looking at a lot of reviews and videos online. I have used a couple brands that are more similar to a normal scope. I also know a few people that have other models that are this style and the scope style. To me this is the best bang for the buck for what it does. It does everything all in a small compact package. I have a scope camera and GoPro for most of my daytime shooting. This is mostly used at night and does quite well. It’s not even close to the size and weight of the scope style models. No big bulky light hanging off the side, don’t have to push 4 different buttons to get what you need. I turn it on and put it in standby, then one button to wake up and one to record when I want, it’s that simple. This only needs 1 battery, not 2, 1 for the light and 1 for the scope and the battery life is also good. Also most other options have a battery you can’t swap out when you need to. If it dies you’re done unless you use a remote battery pack. I can see good enough at night for 75-100 yard shots. Most of the time I’m shooting 50 yards or less and I can see whiskers on a raccoon at that range if zoomed in. I also have thermal scopes, that’s the only thing that I use besides this at night, and for more money . Get a couple extra batteries and you’ll be set, I’ve had no regrets on buying this. The numbers on the light is for the beam style. One is more of a spot light. The other is more of a flood light. The higher number (if I remember right) is the beam style. My model has the flood light style and I can still see the outline of a cat or raccoon at 100 yards if zoomed in. If someone with one of those big bulky magnum lights points where I’m looking I can see anything I need farther than I’m going to shoot.

Extremely disappointed
First I noticed that the battery o ring is broken, that turned out to be the smallest problem. When I turned on the night vision it started switching between sharp screen and orange color screen and It stayed orange. I still was trying to see if simply factory reset would help but no results and on top infrared light did not work. I don’t know if this is simply a junk or I was unlucky. I am very disappointed I was waiting for it to go hunting.

After 3 weeks, menu button did not work, therefore it is unusable
UPDATE 29 March 2024Someone from Pard located in Nevada called me and introduced himself, gave me his direct number and email and said I should feel free to contact him with any need for tech support or sales. He was easy to understand and helpful.I wish I had known that or known of him a few days earlier when menu buttom failed, because I have already returned the defective product.HE CONFIRMED THAT THIS PRODUCT: "NV008SLRF" HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. Replaced with NV008SP2 LRF---------------------------UPDATE 26 March 2024After 3 weeks, menu button did not work, therefore it is unusable. Amazon did an immediate replacement !!-----------------------Well made and functions as it should without locking-up. Has all the important features, Compact size. Easy to use. Reliable. One 18650 rechargeable battery powers the NV008SLRF and its illuminator. Includes stable mount. I now have 4 night-vision scopes: an ATN 4K Pro Smart 5-20 with ABL, Arken Zulus, a Pard DS35-70 lrf, the Zulus and this Pard NV008SLRF, are my favorites so far. I'm going to Sell my ATN 4K Pro 5-20 and buy another NV008S2LRF because ATN is way to heavy and bulky, but a great scope if the weight and size isn't a problem. I don't shoot more than 100 yards so the onboard illuminator on the Pard NV008S LRF is very effective out past 100 yards. I especially like the Pard products over other brands because you don't have to also use a separate illuminator. For now, I'm putting this on my Umarex Notos and Stoeger XM1 Bullsharks. The multiple user profiles allows you to put each gun/ammo in a separate profile so switching it between guns is never a problem. I recommend this scope.

Love this scope!
I have been using the Pard for a year now and still love it! I especially like the laser range finder because it helps me find my correct point of aim when shooting up into trees or at down angles. Switched from an ATN which worked well, but had to have two different kind of batteries and I would always forget to turn the IR torch off and run down those expensive CR123 batteries. The Pard boots much faster and has dedicated buttons for most needed functions so I don't always have to scroll through menus to get what I need. Plus 1 button turns everything off! No forgetting. And did I mention it is MUCH lighter!
