You mentioned it was a universal part which would fit most Recliner sofas. Unfortunately this part didn't fit my sofa.

Recliner release mechanism
Made of steel and much better than the old, original plastic mechanism that broke. Perfect fit. Cable was too long, but was able to use the old cable in the chair.
