Easy peasy
Easy to install and the app is super easy to use. The only thing needed is an understanding of the motor limitations that you pair with the ESC as there are so many adjustments

It won't let you drive when you are programming the esc
It's a great esc fore both crawler and touring car as it is easy to set up and can be switched over at anytime if needed as you can create a custom saves

Very unreliable behaviour
I was really excited to try this ESC out. I’d seen a few reviews that were really positive and a couple that complained about connectivity to the phone app. ‘How bad can I be?’ I thought.Well, it’s pretty bad. Most attempts to connect fail and when it does connect it always reports that it requires calibration. After calibration I can generally perform one parameter update (drag brake, throttle curve etc) but then it gets upset and demands another calibration. I tried two different radios with no difference in behaviour. After 30 minutes off persevering, I was able to get it set up. I’m using it in a buggy rather than a crawler so wanted to disable the drag brake. Problem is that, even with the drag brake disable, you can’t truly defeat it. If you go from full throttle to zero throttle, it works. The car coasts to a halt. If you go from full throttle though to 20% throttle though, the ESC actively brakes the motor down to that speed. The result is very inconsistent with the car sometimes coasting and other times coming abruptly to a near stop. I double checked and this really isn't the behaviour you get with a typical brushed ESC.Fine I thought, I’ll stick into a crawler. That’s the big pitch for it after all. After another frustrating 30 minutes of connecting, reconnecting and trying to update the parameters to suit a crawler I took it out for a spin. Except, of course, it wouldn’t run because it wanted another calibration.Eventually I did get it running and it was fine. The throttle curve is a nice feature as is the active brake. Aside from that it’s like the 1080. Problem is that it’s totally unreliable. I don’t get much time to indulge in the RC hobby so when I do get out I don’t want to spend 20 minutes just trying to persuade the ESC to come out of some error condition or other. All told, it’s a nice idea for a product but badly implemented. Ultimately a half baked and frustrating ESC to try to use. It’s back in the drawer now having been replaced by a trusty HW1080.

ISDT ESC70 Bluetooth speed controllers that don't work
I bought 2 ISDT ESC70 Bluetooth speed controllers and neither worked. The app is absolute rubbish and I had trouble pairing - it has mucked up my receiver. I've wasted money and I am unlikely to get a refund as I have already tried to install them.

Really good for the price
For the price this is a great esc, fitted into a TLR22.It's small and all metal, having watched the YouTube reviews it was actually easy to link to my phone and setup, this does have the latest update already which might be helping. The fact I can link to it and adjust lots of seelttingsnfrom brake fore to throttle curv whilst seeing each temps and battery state is great.Only downside is that when you come off power it starts to brake, this is in forward/reverse-brake or onroad setting which is a bit of letdown but for racing might be better than having to push forward to break.Probably get another for my crawler!
