Q: Can i use this to listen to inflight entertainment thru wired input?

For corded mode, the headset includes a USB cable, intended for computer use, hence it wouldn't work with standard headphone jack. You could try with a standard micro-USB to 3.5mm cable and see if it works, in case your flight’s entertainment system has a standard headphone jack, though we don't guarantee hardware compatibility. As long as the unit is purchased as brand new, in its retail packaging and through an authorized reseller our Service Team should validate the manufacturer's warranty in your region.

I believe that should be all you need. I actually didn't want to take up one on the USB-C ports on my Mac and had a USB-A hub so I just purchased the adapter and it works fine.
