CeSunlight 11W Long Gooseneck Desk Lamp

I bought the white lamp for sewing and quilting, and it's EXCELLENT. It's clamped on to a 15/16 inch thick surface, and holds very securely. The front of the clamp will open to the 2.4 inches mentioned in the listing, but I don't think it would hold securely for a surface much thicker than 2 inches. I can work the clamp with one hand, but prefer using both. (The white and black versions of this lamp both appear to have this clamp, however the carbon-black does NOT, and also has a different neck. It seems to be a different product.) The gooseneck is very flexible, yet holds its position perfectly. The light ring can swivel on the neck, so I can get the light EXACTLY where I want it. I'm using the full brightness on the middle color-temp setting, because I like the look of the light better, and it seems to be a bit brighter than either the warm white or the cool white alone. This is bright enough for my 58-year-old eyes, with contacts and reading glasses, to comfortably see black thread on black fabric. FULL DISCLOSURE: I'm also using an older version (2007-ish) of the Bendable Bright Light on one of my machines. I ***TOTALLY*** love this little thing, and would recommend it to anyone who thinks there's no such thing as too much light for tiny detail. However the bright spot is very small, so adding this ring lamp was really helpful. When I take my project off the machine for handwork or "un-sewing", I can easily bend and swivel the lamp to shine on my lap, or wherever I'm working. After the light has been on for awhile, the outer edge of the light ring, and the back surface, get really warm, but wouldn't burn you. The LED surface doesn't get nearly as warm. I just bought a second white lamp, for projects in my garage, under-sink plumbing repairs, and wherever else I might need it. It's good illumination for webcam sessions, and would make a great reading-in-bed lamp / night light, too.

Engineered 10+++ quality.

These lights are very good, definitely bright enough, they’re used on Industrial Sewing Machines, but they’re really good for anything you’re working intimately with. The only thing I would ask them to change is the on off and mode switch is on the cord, not far from the base of the lamp. It really needs to be a little more substantial and easy to get to when you wanna turn it off or on.

Works great for me and my purposes, nice light brightness adjustment, would buy for a gift. Remote and shut off timer.

For the price, I was hard pressed to find a light with as high of lumens rating as this one. 3000 lumens. Now I haven't scientifically tested this thing, but it's bright. It lights up my work area beautifully. It's dimmable and can change color temperature. My only criticism is that the arm isn't long enough. If I clamp it directly to my desk, it falls right in my field of view. I need the light to be more overhead than it can provide as offered. I figured out a work around by clamping it to my moniter, so it works out beautifully. In the end, I can't recommend this light more highly. If you need a really bright light in a relatively small package, this is it.

Good light

This worked perfect for my sewing table. Very bright and doesn't take up any room.

Bought this to clamp on to the edge of a little rolling table i use for projects. Clamps firmly to laminate top, and the arm is tall enough that the lamp is not in my way. It's bright enough for soldering. I'll probably only ever use one brightness/temperature setting, but it's nice that you can choose what you like. Be a little nicer if the cord came out the bottom rather than the side, but you can at least twist it to the direction that works best.
