Great hard drive
This is a very good, very sturdy hard drive. Downloads and uploads data pretty quickly. Virtually indestructible. Good product.

AWESOME EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE!!
This Lacie Rugged Raid Pro is such an awesome tool to have, especially for pictures, videos, and finished content. The protective covering definitely helps with small drops! The fact that you have flexibility in terms of choosing your storage plan is also really cool. You either have the option to use all 4 TB of storage, or to use 2 TB of storage and have it mirrored (this is definitely something that I wish other external hard drives had too).

Best drive for Filmmarker, Speed + Space at good price
Very good disk, rought and fast. Raid 0 system is not for Backup, always than i use the disk i backup my data in another LaCie (5tb) and then upload all RAW to my Dropbox Business account. Drive only failed 1 time (Becouse more than 7 times my drive was connected and my friend disconnected it forcing drive cancel everything and get data corruption) backup all my files format and is like a charm nowdays

I thought LaCie drives were good?
Unboxed this drive, followed manufacturer's instructions...nothing works. Not recognized by my MacBook Pro running OS 10.15 and could not be found by Disk Utility. Bought a WD Wireless Passport Pro, which works perfectly. Also, the ad for the LaCie drive lists a free month of Adobe Cloud...unfortunately, that offer expired a month ago.

Fast Transfers, Solid Construction; Don't Expect Bus Power with USB-A Connection, Runs Hot
Pros: In a RAID 0 (Striped) configuration, I am getting faster transfers than with single-mechanism hard drives. The integrated SD card slot is a nice addition. The drive comes thoughtfully packaged and accessorized with cables for multiple power and data connections. The device feels as solid as the other drives in the LaCie Rugged line. Cons: I have yet to find a USB port that will provide enough power to run the drive without the included AC power adapter, whose cord is shorter than I would like. Also, the drive runs considerably hotter than a LaCie Rugged enclosure with a single drive. After a few hours or use, the metal case was hot to the touch. You definitely want to hold by the orange bumper, and let it cool down before packing up. So, speed comes at a minor cost of convenience. Though, it is a lot more portable than a LaCie 2Big or other RAID that uses 5.25" drives. ---------- UPDATE/CORRECTION: The drive IS able to operate with just bus power when connecting to a Thunderbolt 3 host (iMac 5K, MacBook Pro 2017 and newer) and a Thunderbolt 3 rated USB-C cable. My findings above are based on initially using it on Windows PCs with only USB-A type USB 3 ports.

Overheats and Fails Constantly
This drive has been faulty from day 1. It only works intermittently and recently it won't work at all. It has overheated multiple times and won't connect to my computer on multiple occasions. (it's a great way to start the day by spending an hour trying to get this hard drive to connect) As a professional photographer I was excited for this portable hard drive but now all I want is a refund so I can buy one from another producer. This drive does not live up to rugged.. the only thing "rugged" about it is the process of getting it to work. - The only positive is it has an SD card reader within the hard drive.

Seriously mobile
As a professional video editor, my entire world revolves around reliability. I’ve run this as a RAID1, every day for six months working on a documentary and not a single hiccup. AND it’s fast enough for 4K at a moderate bit rate.

Excellent external...
...hard drive. Extremely tough and the included toolkit features are worth their weight, as the saying goes. Afterthis, I bought two other models. The raid was simple to set up.

Product was manufactured in 2018 and already 2 of 3 years warranty was lapsed. I am only left with 1 year if warranty on the product! The promised Adobe CC license was also expired!

4TB in such compact and rugged size external hard drive I can't get over it but the best part is that you do not need to plug it into the wall to make it work.

thanks for the delivering the hardware before the ETD

Just put in mind that if you are using this with a USB 3 port, it will require you to use the power supply that comes with it which makes no sense if you are looking for portability. If your are using it with a USB C port, you don't have to worry about power
