Saga Book Two

Continuing the best story in comics today
Saga is the best comic in recent history. If you're not trying to collect individual issues, the hardcover books (there are now two of them) are the best way to get caught up. The corners arrived dinged, but that is the shipper's fault and not the publisher's fault. Plus, the hardcover is durable enough to handle it. Minor shipping problems shouldn't matter unless you are a collector and concerned about resale value.Story: 10/10 Brian K. Vaughn has weaved an awesome tale. I won't spoil anything except to mention this is a book for mature audiences. Bloodshed, drug use, and nudity make appearances.Artwork: 10/10. Fiona Staples is an amazing artist. The colors are great, every character is intricate, and the scenery is awesome. I wish I could live in Fiona's world.Publishing quality: 10/10. The printing is high res, pages are thick, and binding is good. This is a book you could use to beat burglars up with.Overall, if you are a fan of Saga or other epic space operas, you owe it to yourself to get the hardcovers of this amazing story.

Continuing the Beautiful and Enthralling Space Opera
"Saga" Book TWO by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples, continues to be an outstanding graphic novel. The reproduction is excellent.Like Book One, the fascinating, mostly flashback storyline focuses on an interracial, interplanetary couple, who sometimes appear to be in need of couples' counseling. Their child narrates from the future. The couple interacts, or battles, with many varieties of humanoid and not-so-humanoid species. Even their enemies are complicated, with various powers and sexual orientations; all presented for our enjoyment."Saga" Book Two is an outstanding work of art and literature.

Continues all that was great about Volume 1
Saga Volume 2 (Hardcover) continues the momentum of Volume 1 and takes just as many twists and turns as you'd expect! If you loved Volume 1 then do not hesitate to get this excellent collected edition!Story: I love where Vaughan is taking the story and every issue carries weight, you never feel like any panel is wasted. As always Staples' art is divine and helps to shape the story as much as Vaughan's writing. I'm looking forward to Volume 3 and I hope the story continues to carry as much depth and momentum as it did in this volume. The quality of the HC is equal to the quality of Volume 1, that is to say - excellent! The pages are nice and the art is vivid. Image knows exactly how to make a wonderful quality HC.I preferred the "behind the scenes" bonus features at the end of Volume 1 over Volume 2s extra art. It'd be nice to get more of that in future HCs and less additional art.Overall, it's a must buy! Saga is the greatest comic I've read in forever!

Emotionally engaging, Great/interesting characters, and no wasted pages
BKV's writing comes off as so easy to ready (in a good way). Story that makes you emotionally invested with all of the characters whether they're major or minor ones. The storytelling/narrative is to the point, I have not felt like any of the issues were a "chore" to get through (There are great writers who fall into this from time to time). Also the dialogue feels very current in the way the language is used. I recommend this book to everyone, exempt children because it has sex, violence/gore, and cursing. If you have not read any of the series, or a little of it, definitely go with the 'Books' instead of trade paperbacks. Hardcover and larger size is just more convenient and visually appealing in my opinion :)

Get this Book, even if your not into sci-fi
Saga is one of the best sci-fi comics out there, and this is coming from somone who generally doesn't like sci-fi . Its Romeo and Juliet in space if they weren't stupid and thier story had a real plot. Saga is hilarious, well written and an overall joy to look at. As a comic book collector I must say that I'm looking forward to book 3.

An excellent installment of Saga
I have learned to absolutely love Saga and this was a very good continuation of the story. I flew through all of the available volumes very quickly and am now rereading. This is the part where things start to get sadder but the plotting is still very good.

Magnificent continuation of this amazing series
This book is beautiful, and Fiona's artwork is better than ever. The story gets more complex and engaging. One minor fault is that the only exclusive content is the art gallery by the invited artists (which is awesome); I was expecting more insight on the comic creation as in book one. Overall, a great buy.

This is a sumptuous, decadent treasure.
It is a thing of rare beauty and yet astonishingly good value for money. This is a sumptuous, decadent treasure. Effortlessly funny, sexy and shocking book two will keep you turning pages and trying to work out how long you have until you catch up with the current volumes. Don't Panic! With book one and two you have hours of reading and several more hours of re-reading. I have never enjoyed a comic book more than I enjoyed this one. I love the often shocking opening full page picture at the beginning of each new chapter. Hilarious when reading it on the tube on my tablet.
