Great addition for the front hitch for doing any service under the hood with the added extension I put on that piece. with the through hole another ball or any kind of attachment can be put on. Works and looks great.

The receiver step is very strong and well made. I used the 18 inch extension to enlarge the stepping platform to carry a 100# propane tank which weighs when full 180#. The platform handled the weight very well. The only issues we noticed about the step is the receiver tube of the extension which installs into the vehicle hitch is seamed and not a solid seamless tube. Since this is designed for 3500 lbs and a 400 lb tongue weight. I would not recommend using the 18 inch extension for towing over 2000 lbs. The receiver metal is not strong enough and may crack. The paint coating is soft and scratches easily. So you have to touch up the paint or it will rust. We used the step and increased platform to have a 100# propane tank transported to the filling station and return home safely. If you use it for just a hitch step it will last forever.
