I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I have used a home desktop Canon brank printer for many years, and it has been flawless, reliable and efficient with the companion Canon PG-240XL/241XL ink cartridges. I have never had any problem with the printer nor the manufacturer-recommended ink cartridges. Yes, the cartridges ARE pricey. Even Amazon sells the package pictured at the top of this review for a price that is over $30 per cartridge (I believe the current price is $64 for the 2-pack containing both a COLOR and a B&W ink cartridge). It is usually even higher from just about any other retailer of genuine Canon products. I trust my experience in such matters -- and mine has been excellent when using Canon PG-204XL/241XL ink cartridges.

I've been buying Canon XL 2-packs since I got my Canon printer some time ago and have never had any problems with performance. And in price checking these for my most recent order, I found that Amazon had the best pricing. So, it's a win/win.

The cartridges do what they are supposed to do.

Once invested in a printer the ink prices never seem to go down. Sign of the times is my guess...

I only trust official Canon ink with my Canon printer(s). I've used Canon ink ever since I started using Canon printers in the early 2010s and bought the ink online for the first time in 2013. I still only use Canon ink to this day. I bought this item thinking I'd use the photo paper that comes with it, but never used it. I now only buy the 240xl and 241xl ink without the copy photo paper.
