96001 Kool-It Supreme Coolant Treatment, 16 oz.

My car wasn't overheating. But the coolant has been in there for over 2 years. And I wanted to reduce the acidity level. Worked great

I was having some problems with electrolysis in my pickup truck which caused the heater core to clog up.I would have to flush the heater core periodically because of this.I grounded my radiator to the frame and added this product to the coolant and guess what it worked like a charm.I now use this product in all of my vehicles.

It seems to cool a little better when driving but sitting at idle it jumps back mainly to normal, not a big deal because I have a 160' degree stat, but got it for cleaning and keeping corrosion out of the system on a fresh flush.

Works as well as the other small bottle brands, but the price is a deal killer as the green one is almost half the price. I was happy with its performance though.

Love Lubeguard but I don’t know that this really works. It didn’t lower temps by up to 20% like I believe it says. It may run a little cooler. I’m also in Oklahoma and it’s summer so I couldn’t expect 20%.

As to the reduction in temp......... if your cooling system is working correctly your engine temperature will always come up to at least the temp of your thermostat, Most are either 180 or 195 for them to open and flow coolant to the radiator....... no matter how efficient your coolant is....... Your engine will always reach the temp of the t-stat, as it should. Where this product comes into play is when your system cannot keep the temp at the thermostat and starts to overheat with the thermostat open and flowing coolant to the radiator for various reasons. ]Always Flush your system and replace all coolant prior to using this product. Inspect and or replace the Thermostat and make certain there are no leaks or clogs and the radiator fins are clear of debris, make certain fans and fan clutches are working. The product works as advertised........ But does not fix damaged systems.

I can’t say whether this actually helped my 2019 Ford Ranger truck, but the dye in the additive turned my Ford yellow coolant a kind of orange color. Now if you say what’s the big deal, the deal is that I have an extended powertrain warranty and having a non Ford coolant could be grounds for denying a warranty claim if something ever happened with the engine. Previous to this Ford used the orange coolant which isn’t compatible with these newer motors. Why dye the additive at all? My Subaru uses blue coolant, I can’t imagine what that would look like in the overflow bottle. I’m in process of siphoning out the bottle and replacing it with the factory coolant so that it looks like the OEM fluid. Thanks a lot Lubegard.

So, a real-world test for you. Drove my car for about 20 minutes yesterday. Was overcast, and temps were about 70 degrees. After a spirited driving session with several wide-open-throttle runs, the coolant topped at 194 degrees. Today, exact same test, BUT it was five degrees WARMER outside, with the sun shining. And after adding the Lubeguard 96001 Kool-It Supreme Coolant Treatment: Coolant topped at 177 degrees during this session. So, factoring in the ambient temps, this product dropped the temperature of my coolant ABOUT 22 degrees under very similar circumstances. So it goes on my "buy again" list !! Brilliant!!!

Use it once yearly mixed with my ford oem coolant on my mustang. Keeps it running cooler and longer. 500k+ and counting. Its good to use as preventative maintenance!

Ich konnte keine sichtbaren und/oder messbaren Veränderungen feststellen, weder positiv noch negativ. Ich bezweifele den Sinn eines Kaufs., vergleichbar zu den Ölzusätzen desselben Hauses. Ich würde basierend auf meiner Erfahrung immer Zusätze von MATHY vorziehen.
