Please note: Does Not Come With Chain!!That being said, this is a pretty good compass. Does, in fact, point north, which I like a lot. It is a bit larger than I thought it would be, but I still really like it.

I love this beautiful piece, the only issue I have is it didn’t come with a chain like the description said it did. It is super heavy so I won’t be able to wear it as a necklace so I’m going to use it like a pocket watch.

This has pros and a few cons: 1) CON: Mailed from India so it took a month before I received it and though there was a tracking number I couldn't track it. 2) CON: I tried to connect with the seller in regards to when I might receive my order and was only told they sent it and so please wait. 3) CON: This is supposed to be a necklace but the chain it is on is continuous (no breaking latch) so unless you have a tiny head or you are a kid this won't slip over your head to be worn around your neck. I will have to modify the chain with my own jewelry tools and latches to wear it. 4) PRO: This is metal. No plastic parts at all. 5) PRO: Same size as a pocket watch. 6) PRO: It opens up and the sun dial also lays down or can stand up if you want to use it. 7) PRO: The compass inside is a working real compass. 8) PRO: This is heavy and feels durable. 9) PRO: It looks cool like an old relic. Despite the cons I feel the pros outweigh the cons and so I gave it 4 stars. Sad I can't wear it now but I will use my skills to modify it so I can. You could always remove the chain and use a ribbon instead to wear it around your neck if you cant add a metal latch yourself.

It’s really to big and heavy to wear as a necklace. It does actually work though. The sundial broke off right away.
