Better than original treble hooks
I listened to a lot of debates on benefits and negatives of these hooks replacing traditional treble hooks. I did my own fun experiment this weekend trolling one crankbait with factory trebles and the exact same crankbait on other side with owner single replacement hooks. The end result had a clear winner for fish in the boat and that was the replacement single hook. With the singles I caught eight total fish and lost one fish almost as soon as he was on the hook. I caught three fish with the traditional trebles and lost seven (woody area a factor on some of these). The trebles also got messed up more with weeds, got stuck more often and were harder to get loose. You will get bit a bit more using trebles, but you will get more fish in the boat with single hooks. Final score 8 fish 1 loss single hooks vs only 3 fish and 7 losses to trebles! This is just an experience for four hours. Some of those fish getting off were small and could probably not bite the larger single hook replacement (a bonus in my opinion). Another bonus I can think of is less time untangling with four less hooks to deal with. Last bonus (I can think of) is the one hook increases the action of your bait. I just ordered over $50 worth of these hooks for more of my lures after this experience.

Great alternative to treble hooks for inshore fishing lures
I was looking for an alternative to treble hooks for my inshore fishing lures and these seemed to fit the bill. Though they are rated 3x strong, they are very light. They are tinned so they are much more saltwater corrosion resistant than the 1x versions they also sell. I mainly use them on my Redfish and Speckled Trout lures and they work great. I have not noticed any adverse effect of lure presentation using these hooks compared to the factory treble hooks the lures come with. Currently I have 1/0 on my Rapala Skitterwalk lure (SW8) and 2/0 on the larger SW10. I also have them on my mirrodine MR17 suspending lures and have not noticed a drop off in hookup ratios. Inshore I use 1/0 for smaller lures and 2/0 for larger lures just as treble hooks come in different sizes based on lure size and weight. I've actually had better hookup ratios with these single hooks for tarpon off the beach as opposed to treble hooks due to the hardness of their mouths and their jumping and spitting the hook. Another added benefit in my eyes is that these are a lot less damaging to fish and myself with only having to deal with 2 hooks rather than 6 especially when wading or kayak fishing. If you have ever had a treble hook go through your finger while trying to get the hook out you know what I'm talking about.

Not As Pictured
I ordered the 2/0, 4/0 and 5/0 sizes to replace treble hooks on some of my bass/bluefish lures. The hooks themselves are wicked strong, and extremely sharp. My issue is that on the Owner website, and also on Amazon, the hooks are pictured with a dark finish. The ones I received (all sizes) have a VERY shiny silver finish. Not exactly what I was looking for to replace black treble hooks, but I guess I will find out if the shiny finish is a good or bad thing once I have swapped them out and used them...

Size and quantity
The number of hooks depends on the size. About 4-6 hooks in the 2/0-5/0 range, and goes down to 3 hooks in the 7/0-9/0 range. The sizes, I had to decipher it myself too. They are the middle number in the item code:4102-129 = 2/0 (6 hooks)4102-139 = 3/0 (6 hooks)4102-149 = 4/0 (4 hooks)4102-159 = 5/0 (4 hooks)I like 2/0-3/0 for 1-3 oz throwing irons and jigs, 4/0-5/0 or larger for flat falls and bigger jigs like tady lures. Very light weight and strong, sharp hooks. These hooks are great. Have not seen a change in hookups compare to treble hooks and they are easier when removing the hook from the fish. Also, they are much thicker than the original treble hooks so they don’t straighten out on larger fish like trebles do.

Hooks are silver color, not dark as advertised.
I have bought these hooks before, and they were dark and unobtrusive treble replacements. The hooks I received are correct in all ways except they are silver colored (stainless steel?). I use weighted Owner Hooks for plastic baits and I find them to be best. For single hook treble replacements this hook in the dark color has worked well for me. The silver color is a surprise and I would have ordered some other in-line hook had I known. I haven't used them yet, and the fish may like them, but from an advertising perspective, only 3 stars. I guess these are my last order of Owner in-line hooks as there are other high quality in-line hooks available.

Product works great
I like the value and quantity. I use them to replace the hook on a gold spoon with this single hook to catch Redfish.
