I saw this food scoop and decided it would be a great addition to my kitchen. It looked like an easy way to transport chopped vegetables and other food from the cutting board to the pot or pan in which it is to be cooked. And, it turns out it is.This food scoop is made of stainless steel which is alway nice for any kitchen utensil. I find I turn to stainless steel more than anything else because it is durable and easy to clean. It stays looking nice for a very long time.I like the wide opening used to gather the food onto the scoop. It allows a lot of food to be scooped and moved at once reducing the number of times you have to move from the cutting board to your pot or pan. This ensures your food is cooked more evenly if going into an already heated pan. I usually use a chefs knife to chop and transport my food to the pot or pan. This required several trips and more chance of dropping food before reaching my destination and not to mention unevenly cooked food.This food scoop by IPAC had sides that become taller as you reach the handle allowing you to carry more food than you would think. The handle itself is curved and easy to hold and handle. This is not something I will use every day but it will really come in handy especially at harvest time when I am chopping and cutting a lot of vegetables for home preserving.The only draw back to this food scoop is the opening by the handle. The openings allow food that is pushed closest to the handle to fall out before reaching your destination. I would have preferred the sides go completely up to the handle to eliminate this small issue. This, what I call a defect in design, is the reason I am giving this food scoop a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review.When it comes to clean-up it couldn't be simpler. If course it can be hand washed, but it can be tossed in the dishwasher just as easily. It comes out nice and shiny like most stainless steel.I received this item from IPAC at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion of the Chef's Multipurpose Stainless Steel Food Scoop. It is a nice addition to any kitchen where food is prepared fresh and requires a lot of cutting or chopping. It is purely a convince item, but well worth every cent.

As expected

Praktischer Küchenhelfer, ich kaufe ihn heute zum zweiten Mal für die Ferienhaustasche. Scharfkantigkeit oder dergleichen konnte ich nicht feststellen. Ärgerlich ist bloß, dass der Artikel innerhalb weniger Monate gut 3€ teurer geworden ist.

Die Größe entspricht genau den Maßen in der vorangegangenen Rezession und ist damit für mich ideal. Die hochgezogen Seiten finde ich praltisch.Leider sind teilweise sehr scharfe Kanten vorhanden. Unter anderem muß die Kante am Griffstück unbedingt entgratet werden. Ansonsten sind Schnittwunden an den Fingern vorprogramiert. Wegen der Verletzungsgefahr und der notwendigen Nacharbeit nur 2 Sterne.
