I've replaced a lot of standard electrical plugs, but this was the first time I needed one for usb power. These are bigger than the little end I had to cut off, but not so big as to make them clunky. My repair was to a magnifying lamp so only two power wires were needed, but these plugs are designed for 4wire to allow data transfer. I'm just happy that these exist because I'm hard on cords and they'll be needed again!

If you don't like soldering or if you are trying to replace the connection quickly, get this. They are very easy to reconnect and are heavy. It turned my 15 minute job into a 2 minute one and I don't have to worry about it breaking because of the metal enclosure. Definitely recommend.

Very bulky but does the job when used

Works well - exactly as advertised.

The device was used to repair a Razer Naga Trinity mouse. This repair was $10 versus the very expensive cost of peripheral replacement $90 +. I would definitely purchase this again. The repair time was under ten minutes.

I used this to test USB cube voltage, current, and regulation from power supplies as well as a new USB supply which I created for a seismic detection system. They work great and give an ability to measure current draw under varying loads in the electronic package from the USB port.

Nicely designed, but screws were frozen and couldn’t be used. Came with a screwdriver, but couldn’t use it. Ended up having to solder wires to the bottom. So, unless you are willing and able to solder, this connector and its female counterpart are not for you.
