I got the Andis clippers a long time ago. They came with a 25 blade. Well, I didn't know much about blades, but it didn't seem to work too well and I gave up on the thing that was quite costly for a farm. After my research, I found this 40 blade and it was totally worth the price. I first tried it on myself without a guard to see if I might get a little cut or not. It was just fine and cut the hair off my arm like nothin' doin' It wasn't hot at all, I've never tried a ceramic blade and I have to say I love it. I was confident enough to shave a spot of matted fur off the dear farm cat that I could not get out. He just ate out of his bowl like nothin was going on. I clipped that stubborn patch and was so very thankful for this affordable 40 ceramic blade that has now also put my Andis clipper to good use! Win-Win-Win!

If I had started clipping my clean ponies when these arrived, I would have returned them. "Useless as tits on a boar pig" as my dad would have said! I started the first pony's coat, and an fter only a few swipes it wouldn't/couldn't cut a pony's winter coat. I used blade spray every 5 min. Still useless. Keep shopping!!!

I purchased this about a year ago to use on my dogs. It cuts good and the best, it stays cooler than all steel blades. There is one drawback. Do not drop. The ceramic slider blade can break, the reason I am on this page again. I have cut a WH griffon mix, schnoodle and standard poodle with no problem. Wish they had replacement blade parts but then it might not cut due to original lineup. So, here I am back to replace the one that broke.

These have been awesome. I used them on our show goats. You cant beat the quality for the great price. Ive clipped my whole herd 2 times with them so safe to say they last and are sharp. These dont get near as hot as other brands i have which is so nice for the animals and my clippers. They're easy to use just like any other a5 style blade. The length matches my other blades in this size of other brands. They work well. They also seem more quiet than my name brand blade.
