this is great and my picky cat even likes it- but watch out the cat nip lover eats it and goes a little freaky - i gotta watch that guy! It's a nice size jar It stays fresh and the cat's enjoy it!

The kittys love this! I sprinkle it on their beds or on the floor for play time. I also make little fabric squares stuffed with cotton and put a pinch or 2 inside for little toys.

When I opened the container, it smelled fresh and looked very potent, not dusty or stale at all. My cat sniffed it and immediately started rolling around in it. She absolutely loves this stuff. For fun, I even sprinkled a little on my dog Zac and she was suddenly all over him like he had become the most important object in the house. This is much stronger than regular catnip. I bought it back in June and still have most of the bottle left because a little goes a LOOOOONG stoned way. I mostly use it when she’s feeling ornery or when I’m about to leave and she starts getting upset. A small sprinkle completely resets her mood and keeps her happy and entertained. After months of use, it’s still just as effective as the first day. My only complaint is that the container was over packed when I opened it, so it spilled a bit everywhere at first. Minor issue, but worth mentioning. Overall, this stuff works, it lasts forever, and my cat is a believer.

My cats liked this, which is why it gets four stars. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is the container it comes in. I'm guessing the makers thought the shaker would be convenient, but I personally don't like it. It makes it very hard to control how much comes out at one time, and also means it's too easy to dump out way more than you need/want. Of course, my cats sure didn't mind when I dumped out more than I meant to, but I'd rather not overuse it. It's great for use on scratching posts, catnip toys, etc. It's a good product if you're okay with a shaker container rather than a pouch or tub.

Our cats utterly adore this catnip and silvervine mix. The little addicts weren't satisfied with boring straight catnip anymore, so I started trying different brands and blends. This particular brand and mix were an immediate big hit. Our cats got blissfully bonked out. Catnip and catnip blends really vary wildly in quality and scent from brand to brand, but SmartyKat always makes the cats happy. While trying out other brands, about 95% ended up being returned because the cats would either ignore the stuff or would try to bury it. Some had no scent at all, others smelled weirdly funky, and a few smelled almost like male cat spray. SmartyKat has a strong but pleasant scent. It's not overwhelming to where a big area around where this was sprinkled only smells of catnip. We take non-plastic cat toys and put them in a glass jar with a fair amount of kitty weed, and after a week the toys are pulled out, dusted off, and the cats go wild. The only thing we've found our cats like more than this SmartyKat blend is straight silvervine.

Instant hit and often requested treat. The catnip and silvervine combine for a winning blend that satisfies our very particular mama cat as well. Over time we have found the blends work better than just one ingredient. Upon opening, there is a plastic seal to remove, so this is very fresh and packed full. The shaker canister is great for shaking or pouring. Plastic is durable, lid is the screw-on design so the jar can be refilled. As these are dried herbs they should stay fresh when stored in a cool dark location. To entice your furbabies I recommend rubbing a little between your fingers to bring out the potency. These feel softer between my fingers, and more leaf than twig. We sprinkle a little in play areas, and in hiding spots for hunting games. One cat likes it in her water for catnip tea. A small amount mixed in kibble keeps it fresher smelling. A good blend for stuffing or re-stuffing toys too.
