All around better value for money than the OEM grip.
This is an absolutely fantastic battery grip. It fits, and functions perfectly. The color and grip material exactly match my T5i, and the added size means I can grip the camera will all of my fingers instead of my pinky being awkwardly folded under the camera. The grip itself feels well built, and the buttons/command wheel feel just as smooth as the ones on the camera. Installation was as easy as changing the battery normally would be, and I really appreciate them adding a slot to store the cameras battery door in the grip itself. Would buy again if I ever break this thing.

Cheap and it Works; Makes t3i easier to grip
I've been using this grip for about three months now and I couldn't be happier. The shutter button, zoom buttons, dial, and 'a' button (for changing aperture with the dial) all work seamlessly. Dial is not as smooth as the one on the camera, but the difference is not bothersome. In fact it's barely noticeable. The grip adds some nice weight and bulk to the camera, and I really mean that in a good way. I feel like I have a better grip on the camera, since I can now comfortably grip the right side of the camera with all the fingers on my right hand. I took the grip off last night and immediately noticed how much harder the camera is to grip without the BG-E8. I put the grip back on right away! Switching batteries out is a snap. The holder comes out easily, you swap out the two batteries, (you have to have at least 2 to use this grip!) and it slides back into place and locks securely. I've had to swap out batteries on a few video shoots and my actors only had to wait for about 20 seconds while I switched them out. Haven't used the AA-battery holder yet, but I'm sure it will come in handy; it's nice to have it as a backup. Best thing about the grip, besides the extra battery life, is the feel it gives to the camera. I feel like I'm much less likely to drop the camera, especially when I hold it vertically. Also, I contacted the seller to ask about another product and they emailed me back in about 10 hours, so no complaints about the seller either! I received a Meike brand BG-E8, which is a good brand; some reviews say they've received other brands, but I'm going based off my experience with the seller, so I'm leaving 5 stars!

Great addition to Canon 550D/T2i
I was pretty comfortable with my T2i + kit lens as an amateur hobbyist photographer, but after a year or so, I decided to upgrade to a better lens. I couldn't afford a new body and lens so I opted for better glass now, and then sell my T2i later and get a full frame sensor camera. I chose the Canon EF 24-70mm 2.8 (first version). I wanted a general purpose zoom lens, with a constant maximum aperture, and the 24-70mm seemed the perfect choice to upgrade to. The only problem is this lens weighs a ton! and on a small plasticy body like the T2i, the whole set up feels very unbalanced and front heavy. Holding and shooting with the the T2i and this lens was no fun, and was always a balancing act. Enter the Neewer battery grip. (It's actually the Meike brand but who cares, as long as it does the job, I don't care what generic brand it is). Since putting this battery grip on the camera 1. the camera feels more balanced and not so front heavy 2. my grip feels so much better, and secure 3. I don't have to worry about changing batteries through out the day (not that it would be a huge inconvenience to swap out a battery, but even small things count) 4. shooting portraits is much more comfortable now thanks to the second shutter release button on the bottom of the grip I couldn't care less about my camera looking more "pro" due to this grip, that should not be something rebel owners should be striving for, instead we should be glad that such a cheap generic product such as this is available, and works so damn well, so that it helps us take BETTER PHOTOGRAPHS. All in all, this is the best accessory I have ever bought for my T2i. I highly recommend it to anyone contemplating buying a battery grip for their T2i and don't want to pay for the over-priced Canon brand, which I doubt offers anything more than this.

My Neewer grip for Canon Rebel T3i
I did so much research on third party grips before buying, review after review, and video after video but I finally decided to get the Neewer grip. First of all, don't buy the OEM canon battery grip if you're using a rebel, it cost $100+ and it's still plastic. Unless you own a high end crop sensor camera (7d, 70d) that has a magnesium alloy body then go for the OEM grips, but all rebel camera's have a plastic body construction so you'll just be wasting a lot of money buying the canon version of this battery grip. Now on to the Neewer battery grip itself, it's really sturdy! The second I unboxed it, and picked it up I felt that it wasn't cheap, and my god was I happy because my mindset was for $30 it'll probably be really cheap plastic, but this thing feels solid in the hands. After a two minute installation the Neewer grip was on my camera, and looked awesome. The vertical button of the grip works great, it'll shoot even if you only have one battery in the grip itself, the wheel works as described, but man now my camera has some real weight, and just feels awesome in the hand. Do yourself and buy this.

I'm really happy with this product! I was using a Canon EOS 700D before and the battery grip that came with it stopped working after a while. I decided to get this one as a replacement and it works great! It's very easy to install and use and it makes my camera feel a lot more sturdy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Batterigreppet ger kameran en stabilare känsla, och möjligheten att hålla den på högkant är bra
