2 failures within a few months
Was replacing some of my older devices (Different brand) with these and have had 2 plugs to become unresponsive in a few months. I'm seeing a high failure rate and will be looking at another brand.Edit 4/21/2024 Seller: WonderLabs replaced all 4 plugs. They promptly sent 4 new plugs! I will update if I have any future issues with these. Thanks Wonderlabs for taking care of your customers!

Three of Four Died In TWO YEARS
I purchased a 4-pack of these smart plugs, expecting them to be a reliable addition to my smart home setup. What a disappointment. Within just two years, THREE out of the four plugs completely stopped working. These aren't exactly cheap devices, and to have a 75% failure rate is absolutely unacceptable. The one remaining plug works fine, which only proves that they're capable of making a functioning product – they just apparently can't do it consistently. I've wasted both money and time dealing with these failures, having to replace them and reconfigure my smart home setup multiple times.Save yourself the frustration and money – stay far away from this company's products. I've since switched to a different brand and haven't had a single issue. This will be my first and LAST purchase from this manufacturer. Completely disappointed and will never trust this brand again.Pros:None, since they don't lastCons:Poor durabilityHigh failure rateWaste of moneyUnreliable product from an unreliable company

Powerful and thorough yet simple.
The SwitchBot Smart Plug Mini 15A devices have been great for tracking home energy usage in one convenient place. I have 12 of them connected to different devices around our house. We are going solar, and I wanted a better picture of the energy usage of our many devices/appliances. These connected Switches track realtime energy usage and store the data in the app, easily accessible, month by month, in numerical and graphical format. Watts, amps, voltage, kWh, and power on duration are all tracked. The app calculates totals on a daily/monthly/and lifetime basis. Another great feature is the power button on the unit, which is also controllable remotely through the app. For example, stereo and TV equipment idles away, sucking power all the time. It is simple now to shut it off entirely for the weeks it isn’t being used, either with the physical button or through the app if I am away. One issue I have run into is that the Switch shuts down on overcurrent for one of our smaller refrigerators, even though the fridge specs are within the Switches capabilities. I don’t believe this is the fault of the Switch; I am guessing the power spikes in the fridge when the compressor kicks on. The Switch works fine on our other larger, more computerized fridge. It would be nice if there was a Switch with higher power capacity. The app is simple and reliable. There are a couple interface tweaks I think would be welcome, but in no way do they inhibit the use of the system. There are so many other control and tracking options made by SwitchBot, I believe it is a robust and practical company for home automation and monitoring. I would buy these again and will consider the other products made by SwitchBot in the future.

Limited Data Reporting and Overly Sensitive Overload Protection
For the cost, these plugs are decent. There are plenty of other standalone energy monitoring devices that cost much more and provide much less. So that is nice, but there are a couple big things that bother me:1. Limited Data Reporting - all you get is real time watts/amps/volts, daily kwh, and the ability to see historical daily kwh. There's no way to see or export hour by hour or minute by minute data, nor can you track max, min, or average power used in any given time period. So that's a little disappointing for someone that likes data like that. Not a deal breaker, but it is something I would have liked.2. Overly Sensitive Overload Protection - I have one plug connected to a larger digital wall AC unit, and another plug connected to a much smaller analog window AC unit. The larger unit draws around 700W with no problems, but the smaller unit at only 350W has tripped the overload protection a couple of times (I'm guessing because it's a cheaper unit and doesn't have any way to control the inrush current like the nicer digital unit). Every time it trips, you have to manually push the power button on the plug to reset, which can be a pain. So I wish the device was less sensitive to initial inrush current of cheaper devices like this window AC unit.UPDATE: not only does this window AC trip the overload protection, so does my fridge (by itself), and my printer (also by itself). My dehumidifier, which draws more than the window AC has yet to trip it. What's more annoying (also confirmed with SwitchBot support) is that there isn't any functionality in the app to give a notification when this overload protection is tripped. So definitely do not connect to a fridge or anything that you wouldn't want randomly turned off without warning. The main selling point for me was the energy monitoring, but this really isn't that useful if you can't monitor the energy usage of common household appliances (like a fridge), or devices that use more power (like an ac unit or apparently a printer turning on). There are several other smart outlets that have energy monitoring and no overload protection (the circuit breakers in your house already do this anyway), so if this is an important feature for you, look elsewhere!

They die after six months.
These wall plug units die after 6 months. I’m just using them for lighting control. It’s frustrating. All my battery switches for operating light switches are still great but these plug units are flawed. Every single one of the four I’ve used have died.

Not a Matter device.
I bought these (and paid 3x the price) because I thought they were Matter enables devices as advertised 'No hub required'. Except if you want Matter compatibility then Switchbot hub required'. I didn't want another app and ecosystem. I guess I'll try and flash Tasmota

New plug mini is bigger but better
I got it connected with my air ventilation unit. As we live in Hokkaido, kerosene heater is the cheapest way to keep warm. However, we need to have air venting every three hours to prevent poisoning from monoxide. Thats why i set a program when i switched on the heater, my air ventilation unit will switch on after 30mins and both switch off at the same time on the next day. So that i can keep the room warm and without touching so many switch when i wake up. Love the Switch Bot product!!!6/5/2022UpdateJust purchased the new plug mini, i was surprised at the beginning as the size is bigger than the first generation. However, when i look closer at the product itself, the safety features are great even the size was slightly bigger than the old one. They have a nice dust cover of the plug holes and the light is way smaller so that you can comfortably use it in your bedroom without disturb by the big light like the first generation. More safety features like you can have double switch to make sure not pressing the switch button by accident. It's a good feature when you have kids or animal at home.Love it!!!

2 of 3 dead within 2 years.
I had 3 plugs. One of them got offline and so checked it. Making slight zzzzzz sound and also relay was chattering. I realized something wrong. Its about 20months old. I opened the plug then found a electrolytic capacitor was blown. Its 10v 470μF. I found totally same trouble in the net. I'd get the same parts or maybe 50v electrolytic capasitor to see this can be repairable or not. Anyway repair was not succeeded. Now these are trash.ーーー below is my ild review----------It works fine. Just on/off, by manually, remotely, by schedule, by siri voice control etc. I work from home mostly after covid19 pandemic. I set my work desk and all the work electric devices like display, computer, speaker, camera, usb charger etc etc are powered from a outlet on a wall by connecting a multi tap. I put this plug on the wall outlet and put the multi tap code on this plug. Then, just say hey siri, turn on the plug or tuen off the plug, then all of them powered up or shutdown. So I can very easily cutoff the standby consumption. I like it. I loaded on it 400w so far in max, has no problem. I'll try increasing the load little by little up to 1000w when I am fully familiarized with its control. It has wifi connectivity and i can control it from outside, from other network & iphone from anywhere. I like it and I bought 2 more and waiting for delivery. It measures power in watt, it can read on the app. It takes log as well but not work as wattage trigger.
