Dangerous, you may die! Do not use for high voltage
The metal screws screw into the the prong test leads. When you put your fingers over the leads the screws give direct conduction to the test lead. I tested 24v a/c got zapped. A/C also has 220v, glad I was not testing the 220 volt

Decent, but has major design flaw
I find it very annoying that you can't use standard DMM leads with their insulated banana plugs with these as the connector end only accepts old-fashioned bare banana plugs (with their exposed metal - shock hazard!). Insulated banana plugs have been industry-standard for as far back as I can remember. Other than that, they seem okay - the screw doesn't bind, the needle is fairly sharp, and the whole thing is surprisingly flexible, so it shouldn't snap (at least when used at temps well above freezing - I can't comment on if the plastic will get brittle at 0°F).I guess I'm forced to buy generic banana cables just to use these.

Unexpected design
I'm used to vampire leads that have a spring-loaded neck. Instead, these screw in/out to engage the spike. There are pros and cons of this. The spring-type leads are quicker to operate, but these have more leverage for piercing tough wires (for instance, old automotive wires that have grown hard due to weather). The leads can unscrew all the way to be used as long needle probes. The leads seem well-built and of good plastic, as well the 22AWG wire used in the detachable leads are nice and flexible.Unfortunately, the ends on the leads feel a little cheap, which is why I deducted one star.

JUNK
I saw someone else saying that they broke on first use. I thought, surely, this person doesn't know how to use them. I'll buy them.WRONG! That person was absolutely correct. As soon as I pulled them out of the package, the black probe plastic hook fell off. Just like that. It was screwed in all the way, needle into the plastic, at the factory. Nice quality control! So I thought, well, I have one probe. So its double the price. WRONG!As soon as I attempted to pierce the quite soft audio speaker wire the red plastic tip fell off before the needle even gone through the juicy silicone sleeve.JUNK

Worked perfect for auto troubleshooting
I've only used these for one big job working on a car, but they worked perfectly for the small auto wires. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for bigger jobs either. I've worked on electronics a good bit of my life, professionally and personally, and I'd say that these would be applicable for 99% of the work I've done on cars and consumer electronics and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others for DIY around the house.

Great design, but poor quality plastic material.
These are a great concept. However, with careful use, I was only able to used them twice before the plastic opposite the metal point discolored and then broke off. Great design, but poor quality plastic material. Basically junk.

Not very rugged but got the job done
I was able to use these probes for the specific job I purchased them for but if you plan on giving them a lot of usage I would look for a little more rugged item. The banana plugs were also a little lacking in the robustness department, they did not securely hold in either of my meters. I gave them 4 stars because for the price they are functional and got the job done and now they will hopefully sit in the back of my toolbox for years without being needed again.

Cheap but easy to use
These are definitely cheap quality. They are not spring loaded, but use a threaded connection. Not a quality tool for everyday use. That being said, the point is sharp and works well on larger wires (16AWG or larger). Good for rare use. Leads are also cheap but fully functional.
