IMPRESSED BY THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE!
I'd nearly given up faith in Amazon. The quality of the products I've been purchasing lately seem like they come from the local auction or swap meet, you know what I mean? Cheap, junky items brought straight over from China? Amazon is great about their customer service but what's the price we pay? Crap for convenience? Uggh. Worse is the endless bombardment of emails from sellers trying to get you to review their items. It's almost sickening, but then comes along Zinus... MARKETING: I bought this little bed frame for $53 bucks and at this price point, I'm thinking...straight from a factory from a third-world country, automatically assuming it's going to be junk with horrible instructions written in (enter foreign language here/poor English. Sadly, I've been conditioned to just accept and EXPECT crap. Although the frame may have very well been made in (enter country here), WOW. Upon opening the box I was impressed from the get-go. Included was, not one, but three greetings cards; a Thank You card and two Hello You cards. There was a SINCERE thank you note attached in which they kindly suggest you recycle the cards that were included. I know, I know, this may seem insignificant to most people but I am driven by customer service and the marketing world and THIS is great stuff! At this point, not even knowing what the quality of the frame is yet, I already know I'm going to give them at least a four-star review, just based on their marketing. So, Kudos to your marketing team, Zinus! INSTRUCTIONS: I have YEARS of constructing and assembling many household items throughout my lifetime. I'm pretty certain this is the BEST set of instructions I have ever seen. Not even kidding. Just one large sheet with clear instructions in perfect English on how to assemble it. Super Simple. Took 15 minutes all by myself. QUALITY: Oh my gosh. Not what I was expecting...as you all know by now. It's sturdy, durable, and very well made. No need to elaborate on this point further. BONUS POINTS: Now, this is the item that, in my book, sailed Zinus to the TIPPY TOP of all the businesses I've bought from on Amazon. It's the gosh dang adorable little ratchet that was included. Yup, this little tool made a HUGE difference in the ease of assembling the frame. If Zinus had included a picture of the ratchet and added $5 or even $10 more dollars to the price, I would have bought it over all of their competition! A ratchet...sounds silly, right? But I truly believe the frame will hold up longer having used this tool rather than hand-tightening it with a customary allen wrench (which happens to be included in case you have a preference). I have very sensitive wrists and this was an unexpected true blessing. HOME RUN: I am so pleased to have bought this item from you, Zinus. The people at your company really love what they do and it shows. And it wasn't just about the marketing. The combination of sincerity and a great product (and the ratchet, of course) shows you guys are in it for more than just the money. I must add too, this is the first time I've taken the time to post pictures. Not lazy, just very busy, but your product and customer service made that much of an impact on me that I felt the need to show specifics. Wishing you the best of luck, Zinus. It'd be awesome if ALL THE SELLERS on Amazon were held to your standards.

Very sturdy, assembles quickly, great packaging.
I have loads of Zinus products, and I prefer them because they always have good packaging and their hardware pack is good quality with a few extras in case you drop or lose a piece. The metal finish is consistent, bolt holes align, and the ease of construction is worth it. Also, if you call customer service, a human answers. This frame height is great for those who need a slightly higher bed to make it easier to get in or out - hip, knee issues, whatever. We have it paired with a 12 inch mattress, and it is quite comfortable getting in or out. Highly recommend.

Firm and Easy to set up
Very sturdy frame, had to re-tighten the screws after about 3months but nothing else has come up since. Great bed frame

Very sturdy and stable
This bedroomed is very high16 " from floor, but it is so stable and sturdy. It doesn't move when I sit or turn over. I feel safe and comfortable using it. There has been no noise when I move on the bed. I love the height because I can have tall storage underneath. That being said , it did take a hot minute to figure out the connections of the corner legs to the side and end rails ,but once that was figured out (pictures helped ) then the rest was easy peasy. I had 2 of us but one could have done it too. We did it in an hour and a half. But we are old. They give you everything to put it together, including a little ratchet tool that fits all the bolts and an Allen wrench (never used )as backup. The price for the quality is fantastic!

Superb Quality Bedframe - Strong, Study, Squeak-Free, and Easy to Assemble
My wife and I had this thing together in about 30 minutes or less. I admit I got a little "stuck" on the very first step, but once my wife helped me envision that first step, the rest was simple. The frame assembles in 11 steps, with each step marked by part letters on the instruction sheet that corresponds to the metal parts. The frame comes with the necessary screws, some wrenches, and a few spare screws/bolts, plus the metal bed parts themselves. This thing is VERY sturdy. We bought the king size with the 16" legs, so our frame is large and somewhat high (you can get this in any size, and also with 12" legs). But even so, the extensive grid of connected metal parts, some of which are bolted together, some of which are screwed together, and others that just slip into place, make for a very rigid completed structure. All the parts came together without issue, there were no missing parts, and all the legs were of the correct height, making a level assembly on a flat floor (i.e., no legs were too short, with a gap underneath). It was fantastic when finished, because we could then dispense with the dreaded "box spring," all of which seem to creak and squeak, plus never seems to provide the support you want, particularly if you deal with lower back problems. You may sense with this frame, like with most any frame, some transfer movement from your partner when he or she rolls over, but it is VERY minimal. The upper frame parts are also covered with both sticky tape to keep the mattress in place and also thick rubber overlays at certain points to reduce noise. The assembled frame really is very quiet. So, you just open the box, read the directions while you review the parts, assemble the frame step-by-step using the provided tools, then put your mattress directly on the frame, and you are done! You can also purchase a bed skirt to go around the sides for a finished look, and a headboard can also be attached at the front if desired. Of course, if you need to move the frame, you can disassemble it, and then reassemble it anytime. The frame is too heavy and unwieldy to pick up and move in its assembled state. Beyond the sheer quality and sturdiness of the thing, I keep asking myself how they can sell this frame so inexpensively. I guess it's because, in the end, it is simply a set of metal rods, screws, and bolts, and so production economies of scale kick in. But I can truly say I wish I had purchased this thing years ago. It's sturdy, super firm quiet, and can be disassembled if necessary. We both give it our highest rating.

Easy to assemble
Easy to put together, very stable. Highly recommend. Using it with a sleep number mattress. Have plywood on top for support. Love the storage underneath as we can slide clothes baskets and totes underneath.

This was the 3rd bed frame I bought from ZINUS
Easy to put together. VERY sturdy. this is the 3rd one that I bought because I knew from the other 2 purchases that this would last a long time and give a great sleep! All you need is a firm mattress and your back will thank you. It looks great (all of ours are solid black) and it came in a thin box that was easy to carry. 5 out of 5 stars. But you NEED to get a firm mattress.

Great frame for a great price.
I was in the market for a new bed frame, that would hold a foam mattress and could support my weight with no worries of breaking. I have a small Studio apartment, so I needed something compact. After reading many reviews and comparing this to other frames on amazon, I took a chance with this one. The frame arrived before its arrival date, and came packaged very carefully in an easy to carry box. Inside all metal was wrapped and styrofoam padded the edges (did i mention that the styrofoam came wrapped in plastic so there was no mess when unpacking...awesome), I laid out all the parts in the order the instructions stated and got to putting it together. This frame was very easy to assemble. It would have been even easier if I had an extra person but that was my problem. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble this frame. Very lightweight and it looks awesome. So far I have slept on it about 3 nights in a row with a 10" foam mattress and my 280 lb. self. No creaks, and no worries of it falling apart. The clearance is a little less that 14" from the ground, but its not a big deal, it's still plenty of space to store stuff under the bed if need be. I highly recommend this frame to anyone that wants a frame for their foam mattress and have minimal space in their home.

Comparison of wooden and metal slat models.
I've purchased two Zinus bed frames in the last month. This is a review of the 16 inch Metal Platform Bed Frame with Steel Slat Support. The other bed I purchased is the Modern Studio 14 inch Platform 3000 with Wooden Slat Support. The review will compare them as I think they both are very good for what they cost but there are reasons why you might choose one over the other. I live on the Canadian prairies where mildew will never be a problem due to the extreme dryness of the climate. Assembly: The metal slat bed has a more pieces and was a more involved build. The frame sides are in two pieces. The instructions had me assembling the foot of the frame into U with the feet attached and the head into an n with the feet attached. I was then to join the two assemblies into the complete frame. When I went to do so, one of the sides had a slight twist preventing the join. I tried using a large adjustable spanner (Crescent wrench) to twist the rectangular tube to fit. The frame material is very solid so this was not successful. I loosened the leg and the attachment of the side piece to the end piece and this allowed the join to be made. This problem speaks to how solidly the frame is built. The wooden frame went together without any hitches and with fewer steps. The metal slat bed kit included spare fasteners but the wooden slat kit did not. One of the hex holes on a bolt on the wooden slat bed stripped but the head was large enough to be able to use a Vise grip to finish the tightening. The finished build on both beds was very solid and I don’t doubt that both will be around after 20 years of daily use. The metal slat model seems to be the more robust of the two. It has three middle support legs vs one on the wooden slat model. Design: The wooden slat model has 12 slats that are 65 mm wide and the metal model has 10 slats that are 12 mm wide. The wooden slat model does a better job of distributing the weight of the mattress. The metal slats are held in place with tabs welded onto the frame. They are not going anywhere. The wooden slats are held in place with Velcro. It might be necessary to redo the Velcro at some point in time (although probably not as there won’t be a lot of stress put on the Velcro under normal use.) The wooden slats appear to be of sufficient quality that they won’t warp from the dry weather however only time will tell. If you have a need for extra strength (say rambunctious teen-aged boys) or you want to save a few dollars (the metal frame model is slightly less expensive,) you might opt for the metal frame model. Both of these beds offer great value for a low price.

Resistente y Ligera!
