I bought this carb. to replace the stock one on my kids Tao db17 dirt bike. Out of the box everything looked great but BEWARE...the thermal gasket that goes between the intake pipe and the carb. has too small of a hole therefore restricting the flow to the engine. i noticed this when i was beginning to mount the carb to the bike and im happy i did see it and can pass this info on. had i not noticed i would probably been chasing an issue of lack of power for quite awhile. i used the old stock one that has the same size whole cut out and mounted the carb. the whole thing took about twenty minutes and the bike fired right up. after allowing it to warm up i made basic adjustments and it ran perfect, no jetting at all. i took it for a ride around the block and it worked great. Since brand new this bike has never ran very well and has always been a real pain to start up after sitting or when cold. i let the bike completly cool down and went out n gave it one kick and she fired right up, perfect. well worth the small amount of cash it cost and im happy i bought it. had it not come with the piece that was wrong i would have probably given five stars but theres no way i nwould now as i got lucky and saw it someones going to have serious power issues and will be wasting tons of time trying to figure out what happend and that just isnt ok.
