I hate spending $$, but this was cheaper than the amount of damage those darned squirrels caused in my garage. 6 pumps was enough to get rid of each of them. Better than putting holes in my roof and walls with a .22LR.I could have gotten a good competing brand for about the same price, but this had the scope included. The scope is definitely not necessary on a BB gun, but I got it zeroed in very well at 20 yards with it.No less expensive than if I bought it locally, but this was delivered to my door quicker than I could have picked one up at the walmazon.

UPDATE: Months later, the gun is still like new. I've started putting it in a cabinet with desiccants. I've also put it to some use and can now tell you firsthand: The gun is powerful enough for humane pest control. I recommend pointed high-speed pellets for that purpose.I bought this for pest control (armadillos). It is powerful and fun to shoot. Even at full power, the sound is not too loud and so there's no concern about disturbing the neighbors.I can see how people would think this is flimsy. You don't want to put too much leverage on this. When I pump the priming handle, I keep my other hand above the rear sight, so it's like I'm bringing my two hands together. This minimizes the chance of anything bending. I think the metal struts on the priming handle are probably the parts that people bend. Go through the motion smoothly and don't let your priming hand be pushed left or right - just bring it right down.As for the broken stock issues people have, I'm not sure how that is caused. I keep the gun boxed when it's not in use.The scope is perfectly usable, but I'm an iron-sights kind of guy and I do better without the scope. I wish they included a high-power light instead. This gun has a small barrel and forestock so you'll have to get creative in order to put a light on it.The only minor gripe I have is that deloading it involves firing it. This is fine for BBs, but if you buy expensive pellets, you'll want something like a piece of thick styrofoam to catch the pellet without damaging it. That way, you can head outside when you hear pest animals around, and if you don't get a shot, you can recover the ammo. Then you can reuse it.Overall, I think this is quite a good gun and I've had no problems with it.

Quite accurate (using just the iron sights, the scope is junk) and powerful enough for pest control. It has one glaring structural weakness where the stock joins behind the trigger assembly. It’s held in place by cheap plastic. If you hold it by the handle to cock it, it will snap clean off. I JB Welded the joint and wrapped it for compression, but in using it for just a day, if you adjust your grip to cock it (I’ll post a photo) you completely avoid this issue. I noted a lot of reviews mentioned it breaking so I tried to eliminate the problem before it became one. In an ideal world, Crosman would include that grip tidbit in the manual.

This is a very good rifle however not one suitable for a small younger indivdual. My purchase was for my wife and when we let her lift and try it; it turned out to be a bit heavy for her and she was unable to pump it up beyond to pumps. So if your purchasing one please be advised. It works great for myself though so we'll be keeping it. I do have .22's though and are lighter she'll have to just keep on using one of them. The quality of this piece is very good and after sighting it in the shot groups turned out to be super tight. I didn't attach the scope but it too appeared quite nice and the optics looked super clear when i took a look through it. This gun is a beast when it comes to pumping it up about 10 times, I personally don’t see someone 8 or under doing it. On the other hand it is accurate . I have taken out 10 barn swallows that have been pooping all over my tractor and lawnmower.

If you're looking for a good quality BB gun for yourself, or your child this is not the one. The pneumatic cylinder was broke after using it a couple times. It was never over pumped, it was used by a 6 year old under adult supervision. After not even 20 shots it would no longer retain pressure. I was able to fix it ordering replacement parts, but in my opinion it is not worth the time and effort to fix. The only reason I put in the time was because it was my son's first BB gun. If you dont expect or want to fix something within the first few weeks this is not the air rifle for you.

A nice gun for target 🎯 shooting,but limited range is a minus. 30 feet is about effective range. Scope is not of any quality.
