Dark purple infused olive oil - still working on fine tuning the soap color results.
I was able to infuse my olive oil with the Alkanet Root powder to obtain a deep dark purple. I still need to figure out how much of the infused oil I should use in my soaps to get the exact shade I want, but the infusion results were a good start.

Using it to make stain for walnut gun stocks and it worked perfectly.

Soapmaking Additive
I purchased as a natural colorant for soapmaking. It is supposed to be a dark purple color. It is actually a dark grey/purple. I will work on mixing with other colorants to get a better purple color. Maybe a different brand of alkanet root would bring a different purple outcome.
