You cannot fit a matted photo in this frame, as there is not enough depth. (A very thin paper mat would fit, but not one that you'd get when the photo is professionally matted). I had to return the frame.

I was impressed with the care taken to encase the frame in protective styrofoam. The frame arrived in perfect condition! After unwrapping the frame, I loved the quality! The size was accurately described. I definitely recommend buying from this seller

This is my 2nd Frametory, 11x14 Black Picture Frames. I accidentally bumped the first one and it fell off the wall and broke.It broke! So why did I buy a 2nd one?!The frame fell from about 7 feet and yes, the wood split at two of the corners, but the glass did not break and the picture inside was not damaged. In a way the frame took all of the energy from the impact, sacrificing itself but saving the picture. I do not have carpet, I have hardwood floors so I was impressed that the glass did not even chip and I was very relieved that the picture was not damaged as it was a gift from an old friend and not replaceable.Amazon has a section here asking about the craftsmanship and giftability of this frame.For craftsmanship I would say it is average for a mass produced picture frame. Four pieces of wood/wood-composite moulding, regular matboard, pressboard/chipboard backing board, and the glass. It does not have a hand crafted look to it but I wasn't expecting one for the price. It doesn't look or feel cheap. It has a hefty feel to it, I believe mostly from the weight of the glass.I like a simple black frame that does not take away from the work it is framing. This is exactly that.As for giftability, maybe, but not as just a frame. As a frame to display a photo or painting or other artwork you are giving as a gift, yes, I would recommend this frame for that type of gift.In the end, I have bought two of these Frametory, 11x14 Black Picture Frames and multiple purchases of the same item is the best recommendation I can give.

This frame is exactly what I wanted. It's simple and chic and really goes well with the 11x14 artwork I put in it. Easy to open and close. The glass is secure inside the frame, and there isn't much of a glare from it, but I guess that depends on where you place it relative to the lights in the room. Also comes with a mat, which wasn't of any use to me, but it's still nice to have in case I ever want to change out the picture and put it to use. It was also packed securely and arrived safely.
