For my specific requirements, this seemed to be the best choice under $1500-$2000. I do all my signal processing in software, and just needed a DAC to receive the hi res signal (DSD512) sent by the software and not mess with it.Very, very happy with the quality of the sound. Also pleased that it has balanced outputs to feed my amp’s balanced inputs, which lowers distortion. Highly recommended.*Important Note*: The volume control is set to “Fixed” out of the box, so if you are running this direct to an amp, change that to “Variable” and turn the volume down first!
