It's very nice when applied after a shower and moisturizes well. It doesn't really have a scent and I believe it's working but it's only been a few weeks so I'll come back and edit this review if something changes. Do make sure to rub it into your skin heavily though.

This is my magic lotion which helps to keep my skin soft. I’m happy that it is not too thick and heavy scented. This size is perfect.

Great lotion for strawberry legs that dermatologist recommended, it's not as expensive as the other brand stuff and it works amazing. very thick so you don't need to apply a lot , a little goes a long way.

Have never tried Amlactin but this left my face hydrated all after noon and evening, until I cleansed at night. Don’t need much either. I love to baste my face. I do 4 or 5 pumps of a urea cream or reg moisturizer and smother my face, baste. I leave it on over night after Tretinoin, or if im staying home all day. But this is too strong to over do that. Take it easy cause some say it can sting or feel like it’s burning for a bit. I’ve had no issue at all. No reaction.

This is a great lotion, providing great hydration and helping with crepey skin! It is very thick and does not absorb as fast as other lotions. I would recommend.

This lotion is very effective for soothing extra dry skin and the scent is not over powering.

I've been using Amlactin for a year or so to help with certain skin problems, and it's been a lifesaver. I decided to try this brand instead recently due to the high price of Amlactin, and it's working just as well for less than half the price! I water it down slightly because it's quite thick, but honestly that just means it's going to last longer. I do not find that it leaves my skin sticky at all (maybe because I thin it out a bit?), and the smell is not bad for this type of lotion. I'm glad it's not perfumed or anything, and whatever smell there is dissipates within an hour or so. My skin is smoother than ever, and even the bumps on my arms and legs go away and stay away when I use this stuff regularly. Give it ago if the big brand name price is a bit much!

First of all, the order was sent from New York not from a foreign country, after I verified with Royal Meds, the seller. Product arrived in good condition and fast. Now, about me. I had been using the Lac-Hydrin 5 for years and had to mourn the discontinuation of that product. I consulted with doctors and bought and tried several products and finally decided on this product by Major Pharmaceuticals. I happened to stumble upon the last bottle at a local drug store. Since then, I have not seen them other than online sellers. Why this particular brand and manufacturer: 1) It is thick, and even slightly foamy if applied right after a shower. That works for me because I need to see where it's applied and how much and most importantly that it is thick enough to keep the moisture in. 2) It doesn't have the scent of a typical skin moisturizing product, and some people were upset. Some complained the odor of ammonia. Let it be known, this is a near prescription strength dry skin medication containing Ammonium Lactate hence the odor. It is NOT meant to be a moisturizer with pleasant scents our wives and girl friends use. Further, all scents are from added chemicals and I don't need any more chemicals on my body, especially some end up causing allergy and damage to the environment just to manufacture them. The “odor” of the product lasts no more than 5 minutes. 3) My skin finally is returning to normal after the long periods of searching for a replacement of Lac-Hydrin 5. Now I only need to apply it once a day. Before this product, others could not fully do the job so the skin got so dry and began to develop eczema that required risky hormonal treatment. Initially I applied it twice a day and in 3 days, the condition started changing for the better. Now I use it once a day. If you are looking for a product with pleasant scent and very watery so it is easy to apply, you aren't dealing with severe dry skin and the product from Major Pharmaceuticals is not for you. For me, I want to get rid of my dry skin condition, which is my primary and single goal and this product is the only one n the market that works. Thanks for reading.
