Babar and His Family: A Board Book (Babar (Harry N. Abrams))

A true classic

This was purchased as a gift for a friend. I loved this book and other Babar stories growing up. It is a sweet story and seemed perfectly fitting to gift to a soon-to-be mom with elephants as the theme for her son. The book itself appears to be made of reasonably high quality materials. The gloss on the pages was shiny, but not too shiny. The cardboard of the pages was sturdy, it feels like it will withstand years of baby and toddler drool and love.

My dad read Babar to me when I was little and when I found it on Amazon I couldn’t let my baby go without it. She loves it and it’s hard cardboard so she handles it lovely!

If you don't know Babar, this is a lovely introduction. The story feels very European and somewhat dated, but it's still fun for me to read with my 11 month old daughter.

Bought this in the board book version for my almost 2 year old. He really loves reading this story and looking at the pictures.

My 2 year old grandson loves this sturdy book. He likes the original Babar best but this one is much more "2 year old" friendly.

My kids loved Babar books. We even had the stuffed Babar animals. I wasn't sure the elephant family would appeal to my two year old granddaughter. Luckily, it does. She has a lot of books that just sit on the shelf and several that she wants us to read over and over. Luckily, one of the popular books is this one. I am really pleased as I also love this unusual elephant family.

Our 2 yr old grand daughter loves Babar and these books are so colorful and easy for her to handle.

Great to read an old favourite story and introduce to next generation.

It was an Xmas gift for my 3 and a half year old granddaughter, who has another in the series which was her father's. She often request it for her bedtime book, and likes the illustrations as well as the story.
