Works correctly
Works as expected. Make sure you run a system diagnostic on your dishwasher after you install this! Yes, it’s a real thing! Didn’t work until I performed one and the system reset. This was on a whirlpool.

Perfect fit
It was a perfect replacement for my old one that burned out. Easy install and back up and running.

Didn't even last a month
Super disappointed in this part. Installation wasn't too difficult, you just have to remove dishwasher to have access to install. The first week it was so hot it melted bottom rack approved items. So we changed to what was put in the bottom rack. However, less than a month after purchase the part has quit. Nothing is dry and the part is completely corroded looking. We have soft water so this should not be an issue. This part has many good reviews so I was hopeful but it looks like I got a dud of a part. The description says its got a great warranty to just contact the seller but I can't find a way to contact the seller. Very Frustrated.

Finally the problem is solved
We have been struggling to find a solution to our oven not maintaining heat. Here it is!! It’s now good as new and I can actually use the oven again besides Broil. Truly folks, it’s been a year…

This heater works fine but one problem: I tgets much too hot, and...
it melts plastic in lower rack. Easy to install, no leaks, looks well made. The problem is that while drying it glows red like an electric oven. From the first time we used it, we had to be sure not to use Heat Dry because it roasts everything. Would be excellent in a oven. We replaced it with an original OEM Whirlpool part to prevent damage to the machine from too much heat.

Dishwasher was not cleaning or drying
I first tested the old heater element and found it had no conductivity (was bad). I ordered the new one which arrived quickly. I then removed the old and installed the new. It was about a 1/2 hour job.The dishwaher now works perfectly.

Will not work - design issue
This heating element will leak every time. There is a design issue with this part. There is absolutely no gasket or sealer between the heating element and the brass nut. This part leaked after 45 mins and what makes it worse is that started to corrode after one partial use. Please not on the photos there is no gasket or sealant between the element and brass nut; the corrosion starting after initial use; the water drops on the INSIDE of the PVC nut since the water is dripping off the wire and inside the nut. This is part cannot work and is a fire hazard. I know this since I have had two electrical connectors already burn on the original part. I was home both times - thank God. This part is for a KitchenAid dishwasher KDFE104HPS, that is almost three years old.
