HVAC Component Availability to End user! Save $$$
First. A big, "Thank you" to Amazon and this seller, "Genteq" for making this product available (quickly) and inexpensively. Our (attic) AC went out during this 105deg heatwave here in TX, the blower motor wont start, and sure enough it was my run capacitor. For us DIY-ers who have the knowledge, and experience to diagnose and replace these; having this available quickly by Amazon is a godsend. Thank you!1. The Capacitor tested within spec.2. The capacitor restored my system. To Genteq's and Amazon's credit, they had relatively fast "Same day, but still 12h+ away" delivery. If there's anything they can do to even further speed delivery of HVAC components, it would be appreciated. I'd be happy to pay more $$ in shipping costs or product cost if there was a "Deliver within 1-4 hours option" (I "could" Have picked up this component for about 50% less at a local HVAC store, but that would have costed me about 1-2 hours of my time in driving, etc). For others considering these parts:If your system freezes over, and your blower motor is not running; this is the first possible culprit. They are easy to get too (in most cases) and easy to remove. Many youtube videos on this. Easy to identify and/or test the component for failure, especially if you have a capacitence meter (but many times failure will be obvious - such as swelling). It's a capacitor, so yea...dont shock yourself. Discharge the cap both before removal and before installation ... If you have an AC tech do it, this will probably cost you around $150 for the part plus whatever his trip fee is...so call it potential for $300 savings DIY-ing it!!!Again, thanks again! Good job!

Works like a charm
I have rentals in FL and I need these on standby as they go out often in the heat. The AC maintenance technician wants $400 every time to come out and swap them. These are good quality and fit perfectly.

Used this to replace the capacitor on our AC and heating fan and it works great. Happy to find it at a good price.

Works well
I've purchased this brand of capacitors several times prior. I have had good experience with them. Haven't had one fail yet. There is a size for every application.

You'll probably get a Capcom instead of Genteq, but it should still work.
The slogan for my Trane HVAC is "It's hard to stop a Trane". Hard, but not impossible, and an aging motor start capacitor can stop it in its tracks! (See what I did there?)This capacitor was advertised as Genteq, but I received a Capcom branded capacitor. A sticker on the side of the Capcom box still said "Genteq", so I was a little concerned, but I popped it in anyway, because, you know, it's getting cold!Depending on what you read on the Internet, Capcom *may* be the new name for Genteq, which was (or is) a rebranding of GE after they sold that part of their business a while back. (You can look up Genteq and read about that.)My point is, this cap is an exact match physically and electrically for the GE branded one that was in the unit, and it fixed the problem. Hopefully it lasts long enough for me to forget to update this review when it fails! The Capcom capacitor was made in Mexico just like the Genteq brand. That, and Capcom's claim of having been in business for many years makes me think either they are the new name for Genteq, or both brands are possibly made in the same factory. This was the first non-Chinese brand that came up when I sorted my search by price, and I got it the next day!My advice to you:Don't do your own service unless you really know what you're doing! If you hear a humming noise coming from your furnace but no air is blowing, TURN IT OFF and/or UNPLUG IT and don't use it while you're waiting for repairs. Before I figured out what the deal was with mine, I noticed that when the heat first came on, I heard the humming, then the humming stopped and the furnace shut off the gas. This was a safety interlock situation (thankfully the sensors and controller recognized something was wrong), but it tried again and this time the blower came on, so it was another day or two before I realized what was going on. You don't want gas burning and the blower not blowing while you're asleep! (Just in case the safety sensors fail.)Bottom line is, you really should know what you're doing before you attempt your own repairs on your furnace / HVAC system.

Exact replacement for OEM Carrier/Payne/Bryant Blower Run Capacitor
Item - 5 StarsSeller - 3 StarsThis is a simple do it yourself job that should be completed every 5 years. Don't bother paying hundreds for a tech to test if its good. It is super cheap and will save you electricity bills if yours is malfunctioning. You likely need to replace your run capacitor if your blower motor starts with a loud hum before starting, or doesn't start at all. The blower fan should be instant on. You may also need to replace it if you notice little to no air coming through the HVAC system. On a Carrier/Payne/Bryant split system, the blower is attached to the furnace. You should find the run capacitor there to attached via metal belt and hex screw. It is typically a #7 socket wrench to open the blower section of the furnace and a 1/4" socket to release the bolt fastening the capacitor to the housing. Two cables attached should come off the capacitor pretty easy and attached to the new one the same way. TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY BEFORE CHANGING THE CAPACITOR!!!The seller needs to invest in some cheap cardboard for packing or at least some scotch tape. This is the 2nd capacitor I've purchased from this seller. The item is in a Amazon padded envelope. That's all that it is in. The capacitor flies out of the original manufacturer's box during shipping and flops around in the padded envelope. Since this one is small and oval, its not that big of a deal, but the last capacitor was large, heavy, and round, and it arrived dented.

HVAC Fan / Blower Motor Fix
Perfect replacement for a capacitor that failed in my attic’s HVAC blower motor assembly. The previous one swelled, and was not allowing the HVAC fan to start.
