Item description states these have 5 light levels. There is one level for 'Auto' and it is a wee brighter for 'On'. Only other switch area is for 'Off'. Description also states that it has 'motion detection'. As I wrote a bove it has just three settings and no setting for motion. For my review, Amazon specifically askes about Motion Detection feature? The box was a plain brown box, unlike the nice retail box shown. There are no instructions (though it was pretty easy to figure out with three settings) which would of been nice to describe features it was supposed to have and how to use them. It came with just a tiny warning on electrical info.. The decription shows this exact light as well as the features listed above that it didn't have. Brightness.... man, this light needs the five brighness settings. It is supposed to be a night light but if you get up in middle of night from sleeping and this light is in the hall, you're awake! It is pretty blinding. This would be good for maybe cabinets, gun safes and such but you'd have to turn it on/off or leave on all the time because sensor senses it is dark. They say it's a soft white light. It's a bright white light with no softness. Other than description being wrong, if you want a brighjt white light in a smaller area, this could be your answer. It lights like a miniature bright white flood light. The quality seems to be really good and I guess depending on what led's are used, should last a long time. Being a GE product, I feel it will last. This is one of those items where you wish you could try before buying. It's deceiving in description, though model, pictures and such are accurate. This will work well for some, but for myself as a night light, it's a no go unless I put on sunglasses first when getting out of bed (lol).

They are bright and dim on there own, only down side is that they are a little hard to find spots for because the odd shape

Needed to replace some "7W equivalent" LED night lights that just did not give off enough light. Could not find much selection at the local store for brighter lights. Ran across this while browsing and thought I would give them a try. These are bright, maybe too bright for sleeping areas. I have one of these in the bathroom off the master bedroom and it does light up the bedroom. This doesn't bother me, but it may others. I have one in a guest bedroom and would probably have to turn it off for someone to sleep in there. These are great for hallways and any areas where additional light is needed to navigate and walk where you do not want to turn on the regular lights just to pass through. As a note, in some areas that you may want/need to place one, you may find it will not fit if the receptacle is close to a wall. This can be the case in rooms such as bathrooms where the receptacle is placed close to a corner wall. I would love to see one where the lights are made vertical to the outlet and not horizontal. Otherwise, these will definitely light up the room more so than typical night lights.

Love this product. Being elderly and in need of more lighting, finding the bathroom is so important. The Bathroom is light well and I can see.
