Super nice bread knife
The raised handgrip is perfect. I never again have to worry about my knuckles contracting the cutting board when trying to slice bread. Well made and it looks like it will last a long time. The handgrip fits perfectly in my hand and the sharpness is very good. The 8” length is just right.

Do your research before buying
I ordered this without checking if it was made in China. Wasted my money but that's on me. When I received it I was very disappointed. It looked very cheaply made and too much on the lighter side. It doesn't cut bread as well as other offset bread knives I have had in the past. If I would have read the provided info in plain sight for the country of origin or even read the reviews first before ordering I would have learned this is from China.

Great as new, time will tell
Described as made with German steel. Would not have purchased it I had realized they are made in China

I love Ergo's
I have ran Ergo's for years! The blades are nice quality and I've always liked the handles on them. I had a mishap with my previous bread knife (fell into a fryer) so this is just a replacement for that knife.

No more squished bread!
We make a lot of homemade bread and it has always been hard to get a nice, even cut. With a regular serrated bread knife, it always seemed like the bread got squished and the deformed bread would end up with an uneven cut. The other knife we had was also a higher priced serrated knife but it did not have the offset that this one has, and that seems to make the difference. It’s first cut was a bit of an unfair trial as the bread was still a little warm, which almost always results in a squished loaf, but this knife cut beautifully. It’s comfortable and attractive, too. While it costs a little more than I would prefer to spend on a knife, it shows all signs of being long-lasting and durable, so it should be a good value in the end. Happy with this choice.

Tough Enough to Face Off Against the Toughest Crusty Breads!
Shorter than you might expect (Euro added to one of my photos for scale), but MIGHTY!Well-balanced, weighty handle with a comfortable grip; excellent serrated blade; nice box that functions well for storage (and is passable for gifting!); and it gets the job done when it comes to cutting bread! You can't really ask for more in a bread knife. Great stuff!

Love the offset handle
After spending time waiting in line at Subway, I noticed their bread knife had an offset handle, and it made it so much easier to cut the sandwiches all the way through. I went on a mission to find one of my own. After finding a few, this one won the show for price and attractiveness. I don't want an ugly knife hanging on my bar in the kitchen. It arrives very sharp and ready to work.
