Worked great!
The seal on the old wet blade assembly was failing, causing the bearings to rust and grind. With this product, the blender works like new. As my wife pointed out, the cost of this assembly is almost the same as a whole new pitcher, so that might have been the better way to go. I just hate throwing out stuff that still works.

It works again!
The container of my Vitamix 5200 started leaking from the bottom several months ago. First it was just a tiny leak. I though it was from me not tightening the retainer nut enough after removing it to get a thorough wash. So ... I tightened it some more. Still leaked. Oh well ... not a big deal. Just wipe up the Vitamix top after each use. Well, it continued to get worse through the months until it was just a continual drip. Yeah ... I don't think I'm going to be blending anything with this anymore! So, in looking for a solution, I figured I'll try just replacing the rubber gasket in the blade assembly. Hey, don't judge - it's a $3 vs. a $65 fix. Can't hurt to try, right? Well, as you might have guessed, it wasn't it. Finally sucked it up and bought the wet blade assembly. It was easy to replace once I got the retainer nut off. I soaked the container itself in some vinegar for a while to get off all the build-up first. The new one doesn't sit flushed against the retainer nut -- it sinks down maybe 1/32"? Not a big deal as long as it doesn't leak on me! Been using it every morning now for a few days and it's holding up well.

Love my Vita-mix; Hate their prices
What a win-win. I love my vita-mix but choke on their prices. Amazon's price is a real bargain. Genuine OEM product at a reasonable price, shipped in a timely manner. What's not to love?

Vitamix does last!
So I have a feel funny about this --- I had to replace my old vitamix blade and this new one is, you know, kind of expensive.... I felt dissapointed that the original had crapped out (bearings were stripped and it leaked)The new one installed easily and works great -- It was only after I looked at the old one that I realized it was built in 2005. Yes, it was an 10 year old blade..... so then I felt sort of better -- I hope the new one last until 2025!So after reconsideration I raised it to 5 stars -- I mean here is a product that I can get a part for 10 years later and it's still going strong after a LOT of smoothies, whipped cream, soups, etc.In a culture of 'throw away' it's nice that you can still buy things and 10 years later get the parts to fix it.

Quality and performance
It has been almost more than 10 months and performance is good like original one. There are cheaper options but not sure how they are. This seems like the original one.

Perfect Replacement
I originally bought a much cheaper knock-off to replace my damaged assembly, which didn't work out. It leaked, didn't fit well, and was really noisy. I decided to cut my losses and go for an original replacement and am very pleased with the result. It fits perfectly, runs smoothly, and does not leak. Well worth it.

Installed fine, but blending was terrible
My Vitamix Aspire VM0103 (a "classic" machine with a 64-oz tall/high profile container) was 1 year out of warranty when it began to make a high-pitched whine when blending - I did some online sleuthing and determined that it was bearings in the blade assembly that needed replacement. So I purchased this blade assembly, the drive socket kit, and the wrench. All parts installed and fit just fine, and when blending, the high-pitched squeal was gone. However, with the new blade assembly, the Vitamix no longer blended well - even after blending a long time, there were still chunks in my smoothies. The blades don't feel sharp at all (I can run my finger along them), and when I spin the blade by hand, the blade movement is very stiff. The markings on the blade I received are 104675-1 W. I'm returning the blade assembly, and I guess I'll have to buy a whole new container with blade assembly for $150 from Vitamix.

Fit VM0103 aka Costco 5200
We bought our Vitamix about ten years ago at Costco. Front says 5200, label on bottom says VM0103, original blade was stamped with STM-102P and date code 01-11. I couldn’t find a replacement wet blade assembly that said it fit our model. I took a chance and this blade assembly is an exact match. The thread length to seat (including O-ring) is about 7/16”. Some devices need a longer thread length so measure before purchase.
