Requires some modification other than cutting length
I had to trim the main flap deflector. It was too long even when I adjusted the door all the way up. The door wouldn't close properly. Not a huge problem.

Good choice for bottom of shower door
Works well on bottom of my shower door to keep water in. Have bought this twice in 6 years. So it lasts about 6 years before you need a new one. My old one cracked in half when someone opened the door inward. Shipped promptly. But USPS completely failed to scan the package anywhere between Las Vegas and San Antonio. I thought it never got shipped. Happily, the package arrived a few days after I ordered it. Love this vendor. Not happy with USPS.Tip - put a bead of clear silicone in the U shaped channel before attaching it. Worked well for me..

Quality product and solid choice for replacing your shower door bottom wipe
Update April 2016:Well the word quality used below doesn't hold true. It only lasted a few months...see the pictures for how it cracks on the bottom and begins to separate. I purchased this 4 months ago. Shouldn't happen so quickly, my original bottom wipe lasted 15 years.Original review below...Quality replacement for your shower door bottom wipe/drip rail. The length they ship is longer than you will most likely need, you just need the right tool(s) to cut the proper length and also to cut one side to allow for clearance of your vertical metal frame on the side of the shower door. I used a 32TPI hacksaw to cut the length (make sure it's a clean blade and set tight in your hacksaw) and also to rough cut the 3/4" channel I needed to clear the metal frame. I used very sharp scissors to fine cut the curve/angle on that clearance cut.Just pull straight down on your old bottom wipe and it will come right off. Use a little bit of muscle if needed while holding the door. When inserting the new wipe, snap on a small section as close to the hinge side of the door as possible (to reduce the amount of friction when you slide it in place) and then slide it towards the hinge side until you get it on all the way on that side. Then you snap the rest of the wipe up on the door in place and you're done.Back to the product, it's a standard bottom wipe with drip rail and is performing quite well in its first month of use. I don't see any issues with it and would buy it again. Seller was great and Amazon got it here quickly.

The perfect replacement!
I wasn't really sure which of the various bottom seal/splash shields I should get to replace the old one that was no longer working. The rubber membrane had broken off in pieces and a fine spray of water was getting on the bath mat during showers, completely soaking it. So after taking a couple measurements, I decided to get this one which not only had a rubber membrane but also a plastic drip shield, so a two-fold solution instead of just one. It arrived and, as other commenters have said, it took only a hacksaw to quickly pare it down to size to fit my particular door. By far, the hardest part of the project was getting the old one off - not only had the hard water created mineral deposits that stuck it to the glass, the spooky green algae-bacteria residue that was left behind was gummy and revolting. After a thorough cleaning, the new one slid on - the last few inches takes a mallet or hammer to whack into place which is good, it's really firmly on there. I've taken a few showers since and it's completely DRY on the bathmat, the drip guard and rubber combination keeps all the water inside the shower even better than the original guard. An easy fix, reasonably priced, I'm completely satisfied. If anything goes wrong, I'll update my review but for now I'm very pleased.

As described , works great
the product arrived in a timely fashion, was packaged well , and was as described in the ad.As far as installation goes it was a snap, literally took less then five minutes. If you have even a modicum of skills, and I am talking about having taken shop class in 6th grade, you should not have a problem.Cut the angled inside edge only , the side that you put to the wall, on a 45 with a razor knife. Score it a couple of times and it will cut fine. Slide it on the shower door. Use a fine tooth saw to cut the opposite end, using the door as a guide and done.I used the razor, no handle, and a sawzall bi metal blade, again no handle. You could use a coping saw or any other fine tooth saw blade to do.And yes, it is supposed to fit snug, you don't want it falling off, and you do want the sweep to keep the water in.

Worked well and good cost.
I can't say how effective this item is compared to other shower door rails. This item was simply to replace the same item that got caught and broke. The item came as promised and appears to be of good quality material. As others have stated, it holds onto the bottom of the door with a friction method--no additional adhesive was needed. It holds on VERY strong and took a little muscle to push it onto the door. But, I'd rather have a tight snug then too loose. My ordered piece did require some cutting, but I simply measured the previous piece and cut this one with a simple hack-saw which took just a few minutes.Overall, the price, delivery time and overall quality of the item was excellent and I would purchase this again if needed. I thought the shipping charges (with all the vendors of this item) seemed really expensive. So, I decided to combine this item with a couple other things I purchased over 25.00 and saved on shipping with Amazon. And by the way--I previously looked everywhere for a similar shower door item and couldn't find it at ANY local hardware store--so thanks to Amazon for carrying this item for me!

Good enough so far
The item is exactly as described.....a plastic piece that slips on the bottom of your glass shower door to prevent water from escaping. It has to be cut to size, so I used a small hack saw. It cut through the plastic cleanly and easily. Mine was a bit difficult to get all the way on to the shower door. I wedged as much of it on as possible, but then had to use a hammer to get the last few inches to slide on. The quality of the item seems decent, but we'll see how long it lasts under regular use.HEADS UP....for some idiotic reason, this seller required delivery confirmation on a piece of plastic that cost under $8. I wasn't home at the time, so the item was held at the post office and I had to go pick it up. What a waste of my time.
