I have dense fine shoulder-length hair with zero texture. My hair is so slippery it gets itself out of barrettes and elastics like a bored octopus breaking out of a maximum security aquarium. That disclaimer aside, these pins fall out in a minute or two unless I spackle them in place with product or texturize the business outta my hair. The only time these clips hold tight to any of my hair is when they've mostly slid off and only a few hairs remain gripped in the suddenly too heavy pin painfully dangling from my sensitive scalp. It hurts a lot for a second or two before ripping out or breaking the last hair. ** Fortunately these work really well as paperclips and the ombres are pretty, so I superglued them to small magnets and now I have a colorful way hold pictures and mail on the fridge. **
