their official software is anjvision I believe, but any onvif compliant software works with this camera. It also has a webpage you can log into to control the camera, however best controlled with a software like frigate or zoneminder for simplicity.Camera is not a scam, likely rebranded and now sold at a discount. Very dependable, high quality camera. Sits in metal shroud, acrylic? for transparent housing, around camera. Great bracket which can mount independently of camera but allows locking the camera down to it once placed.Easy too hook up - says in manual DHCP is disabled by default, this was not true on the one i received. Cheapest professional PTZ camera i could find, no complaints, will buy more. Default username is admin, password is 123456.

This camera would have gotten a much, much better review if not for one gigantic problem. There are no paper instructions that come with this. At least mine didn't have any. The only thing it has with it is a little white miniature CD, with literally no writing or markings on it, and you absolutely cannot use this camera without it. There's necessary software and passwords and login info on there. LOTS of people don't have a computer at all, and even those of us who have one, we don't all have one with a tray style disc drive anymore. If your computer has no disk drive, or if it's the kind where you just slide the cd in without putting it in a tray first, don't buy this camera. AND DEFINITELY DON'T TRY FEEDING THE LITTLE DISC INTO THE NON-TRAY CD PLAYER! It will not work, and it will not come back out! It was a stupid decision to use such an outdated and obscure method of providing the software and instructions. On top of that, if you reach out and try to get help from their links via Amazon, they provide you with irrelevant information because they have this item mixed up with a baby monitor somehow. You can chat with an amazon rep, but they won't be able to help you find the software or the login info, and you'll just end up returning it if you don't find a computer with a suitable drive. All that being said, if you do have a PC with a disc tray, and you have an NVR (also highly recommended for this), then at least the camera is exceptionally well built and works like a champ. You can pan and tilt, it's weatherproof and safe for outdoor use, the mounting system is exceptionally easy to get installed, the picture is great. You can just hook it up to an ethernet cable from your router and plug in the (frustratingly NOT INCLUDED somehow?!) 12v power supply and start monitoring it. You can start moving it around and using it right away using your browser on the Wi-Fi. All this is not enough to prevent a terrible 2-star review, however, thanks to the ridiculous situation mentioned above.

It took me two hours of climbing up and down on a ladder to get it set up, the image quality is ok, decent enough, and all the features exceeded my expectations to know who was walking on my sidewalk. I think you get what you pay for.
