60 Liter / 16 Gallon Bullet Open Top Trash Can, Commercial Grade Heavy Gauge, Brushed Stainless Steel

I just LOVE this trashcan. I have had it for over a year now and it's still going strong. I have 3 kids who throw things at it, bang things on it when trying to scrape their plates, sit on it and it still looks great. No scratches, no dents and I just wipe it down with a wet sponge. Now I still cringe when I see them do something to it because it was a pretty expensive trash can but I am very impressed with it's durability. Some people seemed worried about the smell because it has no lid but I don't have any more problems with this and smell as a lidded trashcan. I mean when you open a lidded trashcan and there is something smelly in there the smell comes out. With this if something gets smelly in there I take it out. Plus, the odors do not linger in the can once the smelly bag comes out like other trash cans I have had. I also love the size. We are a family of 5 and I was taking the trash out daily before. Now I can go a couple of days without having to take out the trash. You should buy their special "P" sized bags. A box of 50 is more pricey than a box of Hefty but my box lasted me way longer than a couple of boxes of Hefty would. You can buy the bags off Amazon or Bed Bath and Beyond carries them and you can use a coupon. You also can use a regular trash bag it just does not work as perfectly as the P bags do. For example my husband still will grab one of the kitchen bags to stick in there because he just does not see that giant box of P bags in the closet. I just end up taking it out sooner.

We have own this trash can for 8 years and if i were to buy a new one that would be probably the same one. 1. it looks good. 2. It is big enough for our household. The only downsides are – the size of the customs bags which are pretty expensive and the vacuum suction created by the size of thee can and taking out the bag can be tricky. The first problem was sold easily – we just started buying 30-33gal bags for a lot cheaper. it took some practice to get used to them and to put them nicely in but it worked even better than the original once since sometimes the trash is overflowing and the bigger bag lets it distribute without the trash falling out. The second problem was solved partially - we just drilled a few holes at the bottom for the air intake to prevent the suctions. Not a 100% solution but it somewhat helped. Anyways i am very happy with the can and would definitely recommend buying it even though the price seems to be expensive for a trash can.

Ho. Lee. Cow. I bought two other SimpleHuman trash cans in the past and they both had a lip on the *inside* of the can that absolutely destroyed any bag instead of releasing it. Whatever product guy allowed that out the door should be punched repeatedly. But I digress... Normally I would not reward that kind of failure by purchasing something else from the same maker -- but in this case I am glad I did. Careful research beforehand revealed no lip or other impediment to bag removal, and indeed the product releases the bag like a dream. And it is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. My many children and I were filling up a reasonably large kitchen can at least once a day -- usually more. This behemoth goes for three or four days. Days! It is pricey. But you know that going in. Will it bring you that much joy? I think it will. I bought a box of their special trash bags just to revel in the decadent luxury of a capacious trash receptacle, but when those are gone I'll probably find some regular bags because that's just offensive to think that you somehow need special trash bags. P'shaw! Anyway - if you ever wished a life-size R2-D2 lived in your kitchen to hold a bunch of trash for you, this is the can.

Although I loved this trash can from day one, my husband didn't like it at first. He felt it looked too commercial - like it belonged in an office building. However, he has definitely come to like it very much as he's used it. It is very practical. We have three teens and they produce a lot of kitchen trash. We went from a smaller swing top can, changing trash bags once or twice a day, to changing trash bags only one or twice per week. It holds a LOT. Despite less frequency in bag changes, we haven't noticed any odor. I'm sure if we put rotting meat in there right after taking the garbage out, we might have a different story, but you just have to be smart about how to dispose of smelly items. It goes nicely in our kitchen with our other stainless steel appliances. The wide mouth means our teens haven't once "missed" and splattered any messes on the trash can, unlike our old swing top trash can which had us constantly cleaning up messes on the lid and front when they tried to squeeze something in and spilled. Speaking of lids, I have a friend with a motion detector lid that has stopped working after a couple years. Now they have to pry the lid up with a fork every time they want to throw something away. I like that I can easily toss trash in without messing with a lid and I never worry about it the mechanics breaking. Overall, a very good purchase.

LOVE this can. Ordered one of these for our church fellowship hall to dress things up. This can is the perfect size and the perfect look for our needs. Love the fact that you don't see straight down into the can because of the domed top. Also love the fact that you don't have to step on a pedal to raise a lid. Just walk by and toss. Loved it so much that we ordered a second one just like it and then ordered the semi-round one for the choir room. We have now purchased three and may order another one. Not your normal trash can, looks great where ever you put it. Also love the fact that the stainless does not show fingerprints or smudges. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth. A little pricey and worth EVERY cent!!

How many people can say they love their garbage can? If you haven't met any before, you now know one. I was hesitant spending $100 on a garbage can until we got this. My son was learning how to stand up against things and our old garbage can was one of the things he loved to tip over and sift through. So, we bought a beautiful, tall, sturdy garbage can and we love it. The design is simple yet elegant, and it is very sturdy. It would stay upright when my son would use it to balance and stand up. It is really easy to clean, which was one of my concerns going with stainless steel. My only regret is not getting one with a closing lid. With all the poopy diapers that come with having a kid, the open top is not conductive to a smell you would want to have coming from your kitchen. But that was out fault in choosing, not in the design. A wonderful garbage can.

I purchased a couple of these for my restaurant and they truly look nice when clean and polished. Water spots, fingerprints are all problems...but as long as you maintain the, they look nice and function well. Use a nice stainless steel polish to keep the spots off, or if you don't have use Pledge as it works just as well in most cases. After one year of ownership, there are a few small spots that look like rust, but this is supposed to be stainless, right? Overall a good product that doesn't require any stepping to open a lid.

This a a big, beautiful thing of beauty!! Commercial grade for sure. SS feels sturdy. Not lightweight; so I know won't tip over. The lid goes fits down over top of bag. Bag fits around top. No separate liner inside. Am trying the manufacturer bags that come with the can. In the meantime, I'll research to find comparable bags to fit. This is larger than a tall kitchen can which uses 13 gallon bags; so definitely need larger bags to fit. Opening is large. I keep this at the end of our island. I prefer to toss veggies, items off into the can. This alleviates getting cabinet fingerpulls dirty to open the cabinet under the counter. I will use less bags due to this size. It is PERFECT!!!

This bin is capacious, well made and stylish. The only reason for deducting a star is that there is no inner bucket to capture any leakages in the event of a split bin liner.
