Steel City Bike, Adult, 700C, 6 Speed, Shimano shifters - Grey

I love my new bike! It’s beautiful and I’m so happy that I made this purchase. I got the bike assembled by my bicycle mechanic and I’ve already ridden it a few times and it was a lovely bike ride. I’m very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend this product!

I find this bike so heavy compared to my other bike which was lighter. I find it hard to ride. On my way to work I go up an incline which I could manage perfectly on my old bike on 5th gear but this one I'm finding it exhausting to go up even on 1st gear and sometimes have to walk.I would definitely opt for a lighter bike

I love this bike but it is missing a component and I can't seem to find someone to contact about it. I am missing the "fork basket bracket". Could this please be sent to me?

3.5* A beautifully designed bike with basket and carry strap area.This bike really is a beautiful design, it's strong, durable, weighty. It's built quite well, you feel very secure when you're on it. It feels like it can hold a good bit of weight. The wheels are not only a nice design but good quality too they're a good depth and width. Both the handle bars and seat heights can be adjusted, these are each a lovely brown colour. The seat isn't the most comfortable but it's not the worst either, other than needing a little padding, it's quite decent. The handle bars seem equally as strong as the whole bike, I love the shape and how wide they are, they're really comfortable to hold and grip. You have 6 gears, which are nice and easy to change. The chain is protected and covered in the centre of the bike, so you're not catching your clothing on it. The back of the bike has a shelf area, with some strong elasticated straps. Perfect for popping your parcels, or shopping on etc. The basket is a matching brown colour, this is quite good quality, it doesn't seem flimsy, or fragile, when it's fitted on properly, it's sturdy and strong enough to hold my little chihuahua if I wanted to.There was just a couple of things that let it down. So firstly, not the be all and end but the packaging was a little frustrating, I understand some things are to protect bits but some of the cling type wrap, you couldn't fully remove from tight corners of the mud guards and some of the tape left bits of residue in places, which was easier to remove obviously with a damp cloth.The next thing is, one of the tyres had quite a few scuff marks on it and dirt in its track lines. The dirt cleaned off but the scuffs are there to stay.Then there were two missing bolts for the basket, so you could attach it on one side but not on the other. For the pictures, I had this balancing on the bike via a screw, we had to go and purchase bolts separately to fit it fully.Lastly, the instructions weren't incredible, the bar to hold the basket in the instructions shows a fold in it, which supports the base of the basket, therefore giving the basket more strength and durability from below, the bar that was sent was straight. The pieces to fit it together had a plate which you could sit the bar in, so with that, we did figure out how to use it, I'm unsure if this is the new piece they've added or a wrong piece, who knows without them updating the instructions, so that part was probably the most confusing.Other than the few issues above, the bike itself is actually fantastic quality. The build is really good, with strong and durable pieces, making the bike a big size and a decent weight too. When you're on it, it seems a lot easier to balance, ride, change gears etc, without you feeling the weight of the bike too much whilst riding. I do really love the design, especially the colours, they each compliment one other, the basket and shelf really add to the cuteness of it too.I would recommend it. Everyone who's seen this bike has been quite surprised at the price for how good it is. Unfortunately it was the scuff, missing bolts and lack of additional information in the instructions that let it down this time, hopefully this is a one off and the instructions are updated.
