Not quite what was expected
Smaller than expected. Drum surface was good quality, but low quality plastic beads.

Good for a doll toy but overpriced
Small as the palm of my hand and not playable. Doesn’t make any true drum sound.

Altar size rather than playing size
It's quite a bit smaller than I expected, the drum is 3 inches tall rather than having 3 inch diameter heads. The little rubber mallet beads on mine are not red like the photo, they are grey. Other than this, I have no particular complaints about the product. It is more of a toy than a serious instrument, the quality isn't super good, I would have preferred the heads to be right enough to play with my fingers, as well. After practicing with it for a while, I can see why Mahadev kept this as a pastime, it is truly an addictive little noisemaker and very fun to use and almost entrancing once you get a rhythm going.

This was an incredibly disappointing purchase. It is not a damaru, it is a cheap roy replica. It's useless.
